
After the news this week that Yohji Yamamoto was dropping out of presenting his menswear line at this year's Paris Menswear Week, taking place at the end of this month, it was only a matter of time before designers followed in his footsteps.
According to The Cut, Gareth Pugh is the latest designer to go the same way. However Pugh, who launched his menswear line last season, is not forgetting about it altogether. His spokeswoman confirmed that the line they did last season was merely "a device to launch menswear" rather than a ongoing venture. It will now be shown alongside his women's wear collection in October.
For some reason, I think we can expect a lot more stories like this to come over the next few days. Watch this space.....
