Roksanda Ilincic Designs Cheap(er) for Whistles

Naomi and I have long said Roksanda Ilincic's brand is the British Rodarte, so we couldn't be more excited that the designer has inked a deal with Whistles for autumn/winter 2009. She'll design seven cocktail dresses, retailing for £175 to £300, available in Whistles stores, plus Harrods, Selfridges and Brown Thomas from early September.

"I have long been a huge fan of Roksanda, and to have her design such an exquisite collection of dresses for Whistles has been a unique opportunity," Whistles CEO Jane Shepherdson told Vogue UK. "We have worked closely at every stage of the design process with Roksanda to capture her unique sense of play and contrast in colour, fabric and texture. It would be hard not to fall in love with the resulting collection."
