Crocs: "They're dead and they don't know it"

Ever feel like you're watching 'The Green Mile' when you read about Crocs? Now we learn that the company known for its hole-y clogs could be gone as early as September. Or to put it less delicately, as investment-fund manager Damon Vickers did: "The company's toast. They're zombie-ish. They're dead and they don't know it."

Well now, the story of Crocs has switched to 'Shaun of the Dead'.

Last year, the company lost more than $185 million. Even afer 2,000 job cuts, Crocs still has millions in debt and a September deadline for paying up. After selling more than 100 million pairs of shoes in seven years, this really could be the last leg.
