You'll be forgiven for mistaking German born, London based designers Daniela and Annette Felder for models. Before setting their roots as designers, the identical twins went travelling around Europe using modelling to fund their exploration. After graduating from Central Saint Martins, having interned for the likes of Robert Cary-Williams and milliner Stephen Jones, the duo made a splash on the British Fashion circuit securing a nomination at the British Fashion Awards and a legion of celebrity fans including Estelle and Gwyneth Paltrow.
This week we caught up with the design duo to talk about to talk about inspiring women and their love of Iggy Pop.
The Fash Pack: Where's your studio?
Felder Felder: Notting Hill.
TFP: Who do you design for?
FF: Inspiring women who can enjoy.
TFP: Who's you ideal customer or celeb client?
FF: Women who can surprise and who are fun to be with.
TFP: When do you feel most inspired to work?
FF: After a trip
TFP: What's on your iPod in the studio?
FF: We listen to spotify- it's the best. The playlist is endless: Iggy Pop, Velvet Underground, The Duke Spirits, Nirvana, Florence and the Machine, The Dead Weather. The list goes on and on. We always listen to music.
TFP: What do you get during your lunch break?
FF: We usually skip lunch breaks. It's more like a 5 minute iced latte break.
TFP: When is the day over?
FF: It depends which time of the year it is. During the months before a show, we pretty much live in the studio. In between seasons, we do have a life outside the studio though. It's all about finding the right balance.
