Alexander McQueen broke records while alive and continues to do that despite passing 18 months ago. His Savage Beauty exhibition at the Met's Costume Institute in New York showcasing his life's work set records after 650,000 vistors walked through the museum's door to take a glimpse at his work close up.
Ove the past few months, fashion's biggest names have been campaigning to bring the campagin to London, which many believe is its true home. Yesterday reps from the brand confirmed that they are currently in talks with museums in the capital. "Alexander McQueen appreciates the huge amount of interest the public has shown towards the Savage Beauty exhibition," a spokesperson revealed in a statement. "We have been in discussion with a number of major venues in London for some time now however nothing has been finalised. Please be assured that an official announcement will be made the moment we confirm our plans for London."
