Whether you're a fan of their collections or not, the PPQ show is always a fun one to watch. Like Ashish this morning, it's one of the ones that we all look forward to as they offer an escape from the usual show schedule.
Last season we were treated to a mix of Nicki Minaj and Biggie Smalls and this season the soundtrack got people dancing all too with a selection of 90s electro. But the collection was more 80s than 90s. Think more-is-more and 80's Versace - logos and all - and you're nearly there. The letter P and Q came on everything from shirts to jeans so as always, the majority of the collection is definitely not for the faint hearted.
Aside from the more stylised logo dominated pieces towards the end, the collection actually opened with more subtle pieces like skirt suits and dresses in candy pinks and powdery blue, which will work as well on the sidewalk as it did on the runway. PPQ is know for their more-is-more is aesthetic but it was refreshing to see the design duo offer some more wearable looks this season as I've always wondered how their penchant for more-is-more serves them on the retail side. This season they got the balance spot on.
