The past few months have really horrible for Giles Deacon. I mean, who would want to lounge around exclusive pools in L.A. observing beautiful women and end the day calling that a hard day's work? Well that's exactly what lucky Deacon has been up to recently, as he prepared for the launch of his new swimwear line at New Look, which launches today.

"It was all designed while on a research trip to Los Angeles - by the pool at the Chateau Marmont," Deacon told Vogue.com. "For me it's not so much Eighties-inspired but more a mix of clean lines and graphic boldness with a touch of playfulness."

What do you think about Deacon's swimsuit?

"Design-led swimwear is a must for this season - not only in the pool but for poolside bar action," Deacon said.
