Grecian Draping at Sinha Stanic

The story behind young British design duo Alexander Stanic and Fiona Sinha, that make Sinha Stanic is more than just a fairytale. After showing a capsule collection in London Fashion Week as a part of Fashion Fringe in 2004, they were instantly snapped up by Albertta Ferretti's AEFFE Group and offered a licencing deal. Since then, the duo regained full control of their company and have grown from stregnth to stregnth.

The presentation showcased 19 draped dresses and a trouser suit. Drapes were used to "minimise the hip and make it flatter where it matters- and make it modern" said Sinha to style.com. The draping on the dresses were beautiful but the purple, orange and white feathers that covered the middle of their asymmetric dresses were not necessarily the most flattering for a woman's stomach.

The duo cannot fail when it comes to tailoring. Last season they showcased great trouser suits in bright organge and fushia. This season they presented one suit in black with a cropped cigarette pant styled with Dr Martins and a print blouse. Suits no longer need to be for the corporate workplace. We can rely on Sinha Stanic to deisgn beautfully made suits and tailoring that is fun and interesting and more importantly, is what women want to wear.
