It's no secret that Kanye West's debut collection didn't go down well, despite all of the anticipation. Tim Blanks called his design efforts a 'work in progress' and Suzy Menkes said that he failed to inspire the fashion crowd, so it comes at no surprise that his collection hasn't been heavily featured in editorials.

This shoot, from the March issue of Harper's Bazaar Australia, is an exception. Marique Schimmel appears basking in the sun on a beach wearing the singer's knitted heels. Whilst it is true that the heels do work in the story, it is interesting that they were featured in the magazine that Christine Centenera - the stylist that worked on this show - works for.
