
Or at least that's what it seems from his watercolour-grid prints for Resort 2010. Jonathan Saunders has just expanded his product range (to include scarves, t-shirts and knitwear), and with style references from Jackie O to Carrie Bradshaw, we see quite a few people being impressed.
Saunders says he wants to keep things "rigid" for next summer, and aside from one super-short miniskirt, we can see Michelle Obama looking appropriately First Lady-ish in many of his pieces. The heavily structured pastels would be perfect anywhere from the White House to the Hamptons.
Then, there's the black. Both LBDs and column dresses, all infused with watercolour-graphic panels, are the perfect way to take the boring out of evening wear. This Scot won a Lancome Colour Award for his print designs for a reason - so here's hoping the Warhol of fashion design can keep his studio vibrant.
