We're not noticing a colour theme at Lacoste, are you?
Lacoste designer Christophe Lemaire injected a dose of optimism into his Spring 2010 collection today at New York Fashion Week, flooding the runway with sunshine yellow and the brand of crisp whites that can only stay so perfect by having enough cash to support a habitual tennis addiction. But Lemaire didn't focus solely on clothes for the court - his take on palazzo pants and youthful jumpers could fit in just as well during a weekend out.
Preppy striped knit dresses and blue tunic tops kept the collection fresh, and headwear ranging from the sophisticated white hat or two to more Kate Moss-y headwraps added points of interest. For menswear, it was crisp polos and jumpers plus skinny trousers, with the sporadic bit of ankle-bearing. Thom Browne influence, anyone?
