When Madonna revealed the first images of her new shoe line, Truth Or Dare, back in March, I wasn't terribly impressed but clearly I'm an anomaly. Reports today reveal that the singer's pop-up shop in Selfridges has become the department store's most successful footwear space.
'It's been thrilling to see our customers' response to this project,' Helen Attwood, shoe buying manager at Selfridges told Vogue. 'The Truth or Dare collection has proven to be out most commercial successful footwear pop-up this year so far,' and considering some of the recent controversy surrounding by the collection, it's not hard to understand why.
As Fashionista recently pointed out, several styles from the singer's range have an uncanny resemblance with some of the successful styles from brands like Elin Kling's Nowhere and Christian Louboutin. Even Attwood confirmed that the Panu studded court shoe from the range, which is similar to the studded Louboutin style, has been amongst the best selling pieces.
