Natascha Stolle has something to look forward to this London Fashion Week. Thanks to winning an award from Lulu Kennedy's Fashion East, the designer will be able to hold something of a fashion show online, except it'll be her sketches showing off clothes rather than models.
Confused? Let's break it down. The rehabstudio digital design agency and illustrator Charlotte Mann will take collaged photos of Stolle's new collection, superimpose them onto Mann's model sketches, and then animate them, according to Vogue UK. The end result will appear on Stolle's website.
"We have filmed real girls wearing the clothes, and Charlotte is illustrating them in the same sequence, and rehab is cutting out the clothes and animating them to move as if worn by the drawn girls," said Stolle, a two-time Fashion East alum. "They will do a little movement which is unique to the personality and look of each girl, like a curtsey or yawn or roll her eyes and look at her watch."
And Kennedy's thoughts? "We love what rehab does," she told Vogue UK. "Its dynamic team totally gets the fashion world and a proven track record in helping fresh talent build a name for themselves. We couldn't be happier to partner with them for this exciting new award."
