Now this is something interesting. While the world's designers are fighting to get their clothes on the back of First Lady Michelle Obama and Carla Bruni Sarkozy, our Prime Minister's wife Sarah Brown, is renting pieces from Graeme Black and picking up any pieces from Marks & Spencer that she can.
You are not reading wrong. Brown had to rent her G20 wardrobe last week. According to sources, she has no income after leaving her PR job when her husband took the big role as Prime Minister in 2007. Apparently, she is not allowed to borrow clothes or receive any gifts at all. As a result, she had to splash out hundreds of pounds renting clothes in order to compete with her counterparts.
Isn't it ironic that the same people that have mocked her wardrobe calling it boring and dowdy would be the first to criticise her if she ever stepped out in one of Carla Bruni Sarkozy's Dior numbers? "In this economy?" they would say.
You can't win, eh?
