We were all shocked when America's Next Top Model producer's confirmed that long standing cast members, Nigel Barker, J. Alexander and Jay Manuel, had been given the boot. While the decision was reportedly based on a need to shake things up, not much has been said about why they were the ones on the chopping block.
Page Six reported that the change was because producers wanted to give the show a social media twist and had reached out to Byran Boy about being involved. As Fashionista discovered, that wasn't true as he confirmed to them that he didn't know anything about it. Kelly Cutrone spoke about it yesterday saying, 'I certainly wasn't expecting it as the new girl. When I was there I felt like I was visiting their world and I didn't realised that they would be leaving,' she told Fashionista. 'I don't know who's replacing everyone and I know some of the people who will be joining the show and of course I can't say.' According to Cutrone, though, we need not worry because the replacements are 'really good'.
UPDATE: Access Hollywood asked Tyra about it on the red carpet today, where she confirmed that the move was centred around shaking things up. 'We've reached a point where we feel that the show just needs a new boost, and there's a lot of people that go into that decision, and it's very difficult because I love [Nigel Barker, J. Alexander, and Jay Manuel], and, I mean, they're my guys,' she said. 'They've been there since the beginning of the show. But they'll still be there because my partner Ken Mok and I, we have projects that we're developing and we're a family, so it doesn't end.'

Is Tyra about anything?
