Whitney Port debuted her latest collection at New York Fashion Week yesterday, in a Tresemme-sponsored runway slot shared with designers Nicholas K and Mara Hoffman. Whose designs won out on the catwalk? See for yourselves...
First on the runway was Nicholas K. Casual, layered and boldly coloured seemed to be themes for the day. Avril Lavigne fans who've grown up should like the tie and short skirt combos, while guys can take comfort in jersey knits.
Nicholas K (or Kunz, if you're concerned about surnames) took to the runway post-show with her brother, Christopher. No doubt she was proud of the movement on the check-print ruffle dress, but would you wear it?
Port went for cute with an edge at her Whitney Eve show. That translated to Erdem-worthy pastel prints and the shortest of metallic-gold dresses, plus sheer black lace here and there. Add in some short shorts, some short skirts and...did we mention you'll need to shave your legs for this? Rumour has it, a cast member or two of 'The City' was onsite at the show, so might you see some fashion-week action on TV soon?
To wrap up the runway set, Mara Hoffman brought out the prints in full force. Get ready to show off those shoulders, because if Hoffman wasn't promoting the latest halter maxi dress, she was bringing out yet another tanktop-style frock. The faint of heart (and those with bland personalities) need not apply.
And now that you've seen samples from all three collections, whose do you like best?
