Zac Posen Does Not Want To Pose With A Muppet, Thank You

Zac Posen has never been one to keep quiet about his opinions, so it just happens that when Glenda Bailey, editor-in-chief at Harper's Bazaar, hosted a dinner celebrating Cartier's 100th Anniversary last April, Mr Posen decided to pull up a seat close by, and explain why he was less than happy with her. His disdain came about after the magazine - which rarely features Posen's designs - had asked for him to appear in a spread with Sesame Street's Muppet The Count, who happens to look somewhat similar to the designer, with a shared tendency to wear black.

“I didn’t want to model with the Count,” Posen explained. “She said that was the only way my clothes could be in the magazine as a non-advertiser. I think she was surprised I wouldn’t take the part, but I stood my ground and I still do.” Maybe after an unfortunate succession of layoffs last year, however, and a constant turnover of executives, Posen might be regretting his decision.

He looks like the count, and Galliano looks like Lord Licorice from Candy Land.
