He used to be, you know, good-looking; he looks fat now. He must have put on about 40, 50 pounds, that guy; he looks a mess! And that is not good because he's supposed to be an example for people. He's just globbing up food: he's gotten so fat, it's really bad.
We've still got to wait until Thursday for its official release but in the meantime you can get into the 'Sex And The City' spirit by enjoying all of the red carpet looks from last night's world premiere in New York.
As designers start revealing pics of their latest ad campaigns, we expect to see the likes of Karlie Kloss, Claudia Schifferand maybe even a new kid on the block like Lindsey Wixson. Joan Collins, however, is one name and face that we would not necessarily associate with ad campaigns as we would with films and books. Still, Collins has been snapped up as the new face of Alexis Bittar's Spring 2010 jewellery collection. An unexpected pairing to say the least, but it turns out that both were (unknowingly) fans of each other. Bittar has gained praise and fans for his grandiose, '80s-inspired pieces and even lent Patricia Field a hand in the jewellery department on Sex and the City.
As the namesake of Collins' larger-than-life character in the hit show Dynasty, it seems the two shared a connection long before they met. Collins has said in the past: "Alexis Bittar is by far my favourite costume jewelry designer...His whimsical designs suit my personality effortlessly." As luck would have it, a chance lunch date between Bittar's PR manager and Collins led to the current predicament. Bittar told Grazia Daily: "I was with my friend Edwin who said, 'You should have Joan be the face of Alexis Bittar. 'Alexis for Alexis Bittar."
The House of Halston has been making waves since its rebirth a few years ago. Having been bought by the Weinstein Company, coupled with support from Jimmy Choo boss Tamara Mellon, and with Marios Schwab's appointment in May as creative director of the newly revived '70s brand, things have certainly been running smoothly. And when rumours began to circulate last year that Sarah Jessica Parker would be snapped up as the face of the brand (especially as Ms Bardshaw has been spotted sporting several Halston pieces for the upcoming 'Sex and The City' movie) it seemed like the fashion puzzle had been solved.
Now, however, we hear that the powers-that-be at Halston are talking about bringing SJP on board with a title, too. Unlike the fiasco that was Lindsay Lohan'sspell at Ungaro, we're sure SJP would be an asset to any fashion house, given her years of experience gained through working with the world's best stylist - Patricia Field, of course.
