To all you Black Friday shoppers out there, we wanted to post something to, well, help you decompress after a potentially crazy day. And hey, if it's a little steamy, then so be it. Enter the new D&G Time commercial, which features the obsession of the moment, the threesome. (You maybe can thank 'Gossip Girl' for that one.) Directed by Cyril Guyot - who also has shot for YSL, Prada, Lancome, Tom Ford and Tommy Hilfiger - and based on the vision of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the commercial starts with a young couple getting passionate in a Parisian apartment. When a third man happens upon them, of course he has to join. As the girl's mum catches the menage et trois in action (gasp!), she lets out a horror-film scream and covers her mouth with her hand, which means she has to flash the D&G watch on her wrist.
We say that's perfect product placement in a gorgeous film spot, but as usual, it looks like D&G will stir up some controversy. Remember when their Time ad showed the first gay kiss on a TV commercial? Us too. And we say: Keep us guessing, D&G.
Lady Gaga has quickly developed a reputation for innovative music videos. Last week we brought you her highly anticipated 'Bad Romance' video with 'those' Alexander McQueen heels and now, as previously reported, we bring you the music video for her collaboration on the remix of Beyonce's 'Video Phone'.
After much anticipation and talk about 'those' Alexander McQueen heels and the fresh off the S/S10 runway looks, its finally here. Yesterday Lady Gaga's latest video, 'Bad Romance' was revealed.
In the latest video, the singer swaps her interest in Muppets outfits and instead pronounces that razors are the way forward. Yes, razors:
"I wanted to design a pair for some of the toughest chicks and some of my girlfriends — don't do this at home! — they used to keep razor blades in the side of their mouths," she told The Cut. "That tough female spirit is something that I want to project. It's meant to be, 'This is my shield, this is my weapon, this is my inner sense of fame, this is my monster.'"
Over the last few weeks we've seen Katy Perry all over the front rows of anyone from Jean Paul Gaultier to Chanel. But don't be deceived. She hasn't been there purely for pleasure. This season, the singer has been working backstage at the shows for American ELLE.
In this clip she caught up with Karl Lagerfeld backstage athis Spring/Summer 2010 show.
For Spring/Summer 2008, we saw the legendary Prince perform at Matthew Williamson's show and last season saw VV Brown perfrom at Ashish during London Fashion Week at London's Hippodrome.
For their Spring/Summer 2010 collection, design duo Victor & Rolf followed suit with a performer at their show during Paris Fashion Week. Sporting a huge pink tutu dress with black jeans, the highly pregnant Róisín Murphy wowed the crowd at the brand's show performing two of her new tracks, 'Royality' and 'Demon Lover'.
There has been much anticipation for the release of Loic Prigent's, 'The Day Before' documentary series that sees the director follow Proenza Schouler, Jean Paul Gaultier, Fendi and Sonia Rykiel 48hours before their collections take to the runway.
Although the documentary does not air on the Sundance Channel until September 9th, the whole series following Karl Lagerfeld at Fendi has just been leaked and here they are.
Balmain, schmalmain. Or at least that's what you'd think if you checked the popularity of Victoria Beckham's well cut and sharply tailored dresses, which (much to some critics' surprise) have been flying off the shelves since the first collection's launch date.
VB celebrated her first range with a playful video, and it's the same story over again now. For autumn/winter, Beckham has introduced a Mat Jerrett-directed, 19 Entertainment-produced film called 'Swings'. The clip features eight models in Beckham's frocks swinging from porticos and a bus stop on a London street.
Check for Vicky herself in this preview on DazedDigital, but don't expect to see a lot of her: Despite proving herself as a legit fashion designer, it seems the former Spice Girl wants to take the attention off herself and onto the clothes.
As if you didn't love them enough, have a look at this behind-the-scenes clip of Chanel Iman, Jourdan Dunn, Sessilee Lopez and Arlenis Sosa Pena on their ground breaking cover shoot for the September issue of i-D.
Meg Mathews has come a long way since her 'Cool Britannia' days and her marraige and subsequent divorce from, Noel Gallagher. Once famously known for her partying ways, the mother of two has since reinvented herself as a wallpaper and vintage-inspired upholsterd furniture designer.
How did this come about? Well Mathews says that she was 'redecorating my room after I came out of rehab and when I was told it wasn't possible to have the whole room wallpapered in Swaroski crystals, I decided I'd just do it myself'. Mathews approached the buyers at Liberty and pitched her idea to them and the rest, as they say, is history.
Inspired by her favourite fashion motifs including snakes and skulls, Mathews set to work and developed a range for Liberty's Prints Charming exhibition. The collection, priced at £89 per meter, is on sale now at Libertys and if her celebrity clientelle, including Victoria Beckham, is anything to go by, it would seem that the sky is the limit for Miss Mathews.
Over the past few weeks, we've been upadting you with the latest clips from R.J. Cutler's, 'The September Issue'. The latest clip shows our favourite Vogue editor-at-large, André Leon Tally playing tennis is Ralph Lauren and Louis Vuitton.
Has this not managed to make you even more excited about the documenatry's release?
