Need We Any More Reason To Love Lanvin?

Oh how we've loved Alber Elbaz for his ruffled shoulder glory in the past, and how relevant it has become in the last season. Lanvin has inevitably became a label that has become very appropriate for Autumn Winter 2009, and no doubt will be the same for Spring Summer 2010. Need we need any more reason to invest? We think not. And Elbaz's SS10 collection couldn't have made this decision any clearer.

Opening with timeless, yet so relevant little black, one shouldered numbers, Elbaz showed Paris that Lanvin is definitely the label in which to invest in. Tuxedo style jumpsuits added a suprising twist to the collection, which consisted of a palette of nudes, black and vibrant outbursts of blood orange and flamenco pink. The draping and ruffles that we've known to love Lanvin for were evident, legs were on trend and on show, and dresses were fierce, fabulous, and at the same time, classic. Climaxing in an explosion of embellishment and exquisite drapery, Elbaz couldn't have created a collection we could have lusted after more. The SS10 collection gave us yet another reason to unashamedly adore Lanvin.

Isabel Marant Says Biker Chic Is Over

Isabel Marant served us with a well awaited shake up from all things rock and biker chick yesterday. Although I'm a fan of anything studded and leather, it was refreshing to see a real move forward from the big trends we saw for fall.

According to Style.com, Marant imagined that her girls had travelled across the world and picked up bits on the way. This translated into tie dye pieces, pink feather earrings, Kenzo-like striped harem trousers and pirate meets Peter Pan boots. Unlike other brands that have all gone down the some path, showing light and airy chiffons and romantic pieces, Marant offered a strong collection, that was a lot brighter than usual, with pieces that will instantly transform your look.

At the Prada S/S10 show, we couldn't help but feel like we'd seen the pantless look before. Miuccia Prada sent models down the runway in thigh skimming shorter than short shorts with beach print tops and embellished tops with black pants. What do you think?
