Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED Lets You Do It Yourself

Admire Alexa Chung's style? Sure ya do. If you're like her, you'll appreciate Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED, which allows accessory fanatics to create their own pieces of bespoke jewellery in-store or online.

We're pretty excited to try this, so here's how it works: You choose the type of jewellery you want to create, then pick your stones, decide if you'd like to add extra crystal accents, add a flourish here and there, and voila. If you're not sure what to make, a personal stylist is available to help choose a piece for your facial features, hairstyle and eye colour. You also can work straight from your own computer, by visiting the Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED website and using the new online tool.

For those who feel less ambitious, you can go the traditional way and choose already-made pieces. We're not saying you'll feel as much like a master craftsman, but you have options, right?

London's Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED shop is located at 24 Great Marlborough Street, W1.

Escada Could Be Back By November

With recent victims of bankrupcy Christian Lacroix and Yohji Yamamoto coming into new money via investors, it seems that Escada will be following their lead. It has been revealed that roughly ten to twenty wealthy parties are interested in bringing back the German luxury fashion house, with their final offers due at the end of this month. The parties are said to include fashion companies, financial investors and wealthy families, of which have handed in non-binding offers to the label's insolvency administrator. Thinking wisely, it is to be the best proposal to secure the future of the Escada brand - rather than the highest bidder - that will win, the result of which will be presented to the public at the beginning of November.

W Magazine To Halve Publishing Frequency?

The dust has just began to settle on the battle field that has been Conde Nast publishing house, who most recently had to drop four of its poor performing magazines. Now there is speculation that W magazine, the monthly fashion bible and sister publication to WWD, is to halve its publishing frequency in a bid to reduce costs and cut budgets. Suggestions that the cost of producing the magazine is a potential reason behind the rumours of cost cutting, have been dismissed by W's chairman and editorial director Patrick McCarthy. He has confirmed that W will not be reducing its frequency to six issues a year. We can heave a sigh of relief. Phew!

Vivienne Westwood Designs Wallpaper

Vivienne Westood has been one busy lady. Not content with taking over London Fashion Week, the anarchic designer has now turned her talents and attention to designing a wall paper range.

Teaming up with Cole and Sons, a heritage, old-school wall paper company, Westwood has designed a 12 piece collection featuring prints and weaves from her previous runway collections. Choose from the Squiggle print, Vivienne's lace, Trompe L'Oeil Drape, Dogtooth, Tartan and many more. The collection is available now on cole-and-sons.com and with so many variations, you will seriously be spoilt for choice.

Perfectionist Kanye West's Pastelle Line Cancelled?

Despite dedicating the past year to a career in fashion, it seems that Kanye West's clothing line, Pastelle, will not be happening any time soon. To begin his focus on design, West collaborated with Louis Vuitton to design sneakers, whilst also delaying his tour and putting five completely free months aside for the now doomed clothing line. Representatives of West revealed that the line would never be released after images were leaked from the Pastelle lookbook, yesterday. Ever the perfectionist, only four pieces were ever made for the line, so could it be Kanye's scrutinous eye over his own work that is stopping production? Or it could all be a ploy to create a bigger stir around Pastelle, which could possibly be released at a later date? After rumours of West interning at Gap turned out to be false, maybe Kanye has decided to stick to music. Then again, after that performance with Taylor Swift, we're not so sure the music industry would want him back. Watch this space...
