Betsey Johnson
Lady Gaga expectedly took a lion's share of the attention at Monday's ACE Awards, what with her Victorian-style lace face cover and boudoir hotpants, but it was Betsey Johnson who was flashing her rear by the end of the night. (Apparently, in partnership with the shoe e-tailer Zappos.)
Also at the event, Erin Wasson gave us an Angelina Jolie-effect BBD (big black dress), Marc Jacobs struck a pose with Lorenzo Martone, and Agyness Deyn showed us that false lash after false lash on the bottom lid might just be the next trend.

Lady Gaga didn't really let us see her poker face tonight at the Accessories Council Excellence Awards ceremony, which saw the sartorially adventurous singer take the coveted Stylemaker Award. Gaga's good friend, Marc Jacobs, presented the honour at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York.
As for wardrobe choices, what do you think of Gaga's layered old-school lingerie and lace face cover?

Oh how we love Alexander Wang. Not only because he designs eye-wateringly stunning clothes and accessories but also because he's never afraid to speak his mind. Having drawn inspiration from American football including the team uniforms for his upcoming collection, the 25 year old wonder boy of the moment admitted at his trunk show at Barneys a few days ago that, he was not much of a sportsman at school and that, "To be honest, I didn't even know they were in the World Series", speaking about the Yankees. As to the question of why he chose American football as his theme for the next collection, he explained "After coming off of a season that felt very structured and graphic, I wanted something that had a little bit more of a nostalgic feeling."

House of Harlow 1960, the uber fashion-forward accesories label founded by Paris Hilton's ex-BFF, Nicole Richie, has gone from strength to strength since its launch around this time last year. Initially offering nothing more than a collection of cute, quirkly and unrsurprisingly stylish jewellery, not only is the label set to offer a womenswear ready-to-wear collection, Winter Kate (which will be available early next year), but also 'Mrs Joel Madden' has just confirmed that she is planning to add shoes to the range, too. As confirmed in a My-wardrobe.com press release, the range will be sold exclusively on the online boutique from January 2010. Keeping in the vein of the already much loved House of Harlow designs, Miss Richie uses dashes of strong, bold prints and textures to accentuate the selection of whipstitch diamon patter, elegant peep-toes, and tribal-inspired cut-out ankle boots. We can't wait to start the new year in such fabulous creations!

We had to do a double take when we first saw these pictures. I mean, we know Alexa Chung started out as a model, but we had forgotten, given all that she has accomplished since she left T4's sofa. Currently filming her show, 'It's on with Alexa Chung', which has been so much of a success that MTV even gave her a second season, this multi-talented lady definitely has many strings to her bow, including DJ-ing, presenting, designing and modelling.
Dressed in a series of outfits courtesy of Chanel, Dolce and Gabbana and Stella McCartney, Ms Chung experty poses and pouts her way through the shoot, which was photographed by Sharif Hamza for V Magazine. And as if this wasn't enough, she has just landed the DKNY Jeans ad campaign for this season. With all these balls to juggle, the only question left to be answered is whether life could possibly get better right now for Ms Chung? We certainly hope so!

Victoria Beckham has hinted that she is set to extend her current fashion clothing line, to include bags and shoes, too. Continuing her bid for world domination, the ex-Spice Girl turned businesswoman, who is the owner of probably the most envied 100+ Hermes Birkin bag collection, has decided that the new collection would be the most natural next step for her.
Despite rumours that the pint-sized designer is set to move back to the UK with Mr Beckham, who has his sights set on returning to European football, Mrs Beckham's plans to launch this new range most likely will be the surest way for her to once and for all cement her status as style icon and designer in good old La La Land. A friend of Mrs B commented on the news saying, "Victoria is tired of promoting other brands..... if she wears Christian Louboutin or Hermes people go and buy it, so she thought, "Why can't I do this with my own line?" Our thoughts entirely. We've loved Mrs Beckham's previous offerings and just can't wait to see what she comes up with for this collection. Watch this space...
