After the 'incident' that occured between Chris Brown and girlfriend Rihanna, there has been talk as to whether Cover Girl will terminate Rihanna's contract as the spokesperson and face of the beauty brand.
The Cut reports that Revlon is allegedly doing a secret survey to try to find out how women are responding to the Cover Girl ads starring Rihanna. The assumption is that women are disenchanted with the singer after her decision to stay with Chris Brown and might not want to buy the products she uses.
Rihanna made an appearance at New York's Da Silvano over the weekend, wearing a casual-luxe combo of fur and a t-shirt. We have light-wash denim. We have soft colours. We have fingerless gloves and a pop of pink nail varnish. I'm loving it all, except when it makes me wonder where Chris Brown is.
Sorry, still can't get over that line from the Sonia Rykiel show. But since the weather is finally playing nice, and it's almost time for spring, and all of us are thinking about our impending sun-kissed holidays (or at least time out of the office), let's talk shades, shall we?
Who would have thought that The Metropolitan's Opera Gala would cause such a great fashion spectacle?
The event was a triple celebration that, most notably, celebrated the company's 125th-year anniversary, as well as allowing guests to preview its current stars in upcoming roles. It also played tribute to Placido Domingo's 40 years at the house.
With excerpts from 23 different operas, the performances ranged from brief arias to extended scenes.
Do you ever sit at home, look at pictures of blingy-ringed celebrities and think, "hmm, I shall make a similar piece of jewellery for myself someday"? Us either, but in case you change your mind, the US is selling off diamonds they seized from an international money-laundering investigation in one of the most comical auctions of late. This could be better than when Kate Moss' bed was sold!
We haven't seen too much of Fergie after her nuptials to actor Josh Duhamel, but last night, the singer joined her fellow Black Eyed Peas bandmates and Ugly Betty stars Vanessa Williams and Mark Indelicato at the March of Times event in Cipriani. Sporting a new brunette look, Fergie came out to lend support to the organization that works to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
Katie Holmes has definitely quieted her critics that have argued that the Mad Men actress has been looking disturbingly pale and gaunt over the past few months.
Last night, at the premiere of husband Tom Cruise’s latest film, Valkyrie, in Tokyo, Japan, Holmes revealed a brand new longer hairstyle and a glowing look to match.
Holmes was glowing in a bright Jason Wu dress. It’s hard to remember that it was only this time last year that the designer was relatively unknown. Flash forward six months and he’s dressing our favourite First Lady Michelle Obama and is now dressing A-list stars.
Confirming a sad but true rumour, Olivier Theyskens has left Nina Ricci, despite having a contract until October. The man who had one of the premiere Paris collections - and who helped Ryan Phillippe see what he was missing with Reese Witherspoon - ended his reign with a gothic-inspired smack in the face to his label.
The dirt, plus two of Theyskens' possible new jobs after the jump.
