It's a Love Story, Salma Just Said Yes

If they would've had Barack Obama and Susan Boyle, then they might've had everyone. Salma Hayek's second wedding to French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault took up a whole weekend (with a celeb-filled masquerade ball and nuptials at Venice's La Fenice theatre), which saw everyone from Charlize Theron to Bono to former French president Jacques Chirac dressing to the nines.

Then, of course, came Penelope Cruz, Lily Cole, Stella McCartney, Anna Wintour, Zhang Ziyi, Ed Norton...and Woody Harrelson?

Hayek and Pinault - who have a daughter, 1-year-old Valentina Paloma - originally wed in February in Paris. But since they met in the Italian city, what better way to renew their love?

Tyra Banks Facing Stalker in Court

Speaking of smiling with your eyes, Tyra Banks is not doing it. The model and TV presenter is expected to take the stand this week in a case against her alleged stalker, Brady Green.

Here's a cute one: Defence lawyer Sydney O'Hagen is partially blaming Banks for Green's unwanted love letters, his belief that satellites were watching him and that pesky murder threat Green made to a Banks employee who wouldn't tell him where the model films her TV show. Unless there's another way to take someone saying, "I'm going to find you and slit your throat."

According to O'Hagen: "[Banks] invites fans that are inspired by her show to reach out to her. Mr. Green was a fan, albeit perhaps an overzealous fan." If convicted, Green could face 90 days in jail.

V Magazine Modelling Contest Wants You

Do you feel the call of the runway? Then V magazine and Ford Models' new contest, V A Model, could be just for you.

Aspiring female catwalkers should fill out an entry at the V A Model web page and keep fingers crossed to stand out to the competition's panel of insider judges. Finalists will be announced July 3, and the winner will receive a Ford Models contract and be featured in the magazine.

The 2007 winner, Amanda Laine, isn't doing too badly for herself. She's gotten to walk for top shows like Prada and Alexander McQueen, and she never even had to listen to Tyra Banks telling her to smile with her eyes.

Australian Fashion Week in Photos

Arnsdorf

Rosemount Australian Fashion Week kicked off in Sydney today, and as always, we like to see what's happening on the runway and backstage. If the first round of pictures are to be believed, you're either supposed to dress like a sorbet swirl or slink around in something revealing.

Cartier Celebrates 100th American Birthday

In an economy that's more lucite than diamond, it's comforting to look back at the lavish lifestyles that once were (and will be again). Enter "Cartier...100 Years of Passion and Free Spirit in America", the new installation that opens at the brand's New York flagship on May 1.

A collection of baubles from the company, which actually was founded 163 years ago in France, is designed to relive the memories from the iconic brand. A ruby and diamond suite from Elizabeth Taylor, the redesigned pear-shaped pearl piece that Mary Tudor owned and Richard Burton bought, and Grace Kelly's poodle pin are just a few of the pieces on display.
