Cynthia Rowley Sample Sale This Weekend

Cynthia Rowley has made some weekends plan for you. Namely, stopping by her sample sale from 8 January to 10 January. Just head to 376 Bleecker Street in New York from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on those days, and you'll find yourself facing as much as 80-percent discounts on clothing and accessories. We're especially attached to this tie-dye dress, mostly because we think bow ties shouldn't be just for boys. You'll have to race us to the sale on this one.

The It Bag To Watch - The Alexa In Oak

So we reminisced on how the past decade was one of the It Bag, and it seems things aren't going to change any time soon. Our beloved 'Bayswater' is taking a huge step aside as it makes way for the 'Alexa' by Mulberry - the updated slouchy school satchel - inspired by Alexa Chung, of course. "I’ve always carried around a men’s Mulberry briefcase that’s totally battered, and they’ve taken inspiration from that apparently," Alexa revealed at the Mulberry presentation last year.

Since then, we've seen her proudly flaunting her very own Alexa - in Oak and black patent (of which she had commissioned exclusively for herself) - and quite rightly so. Seemingly the Alexa is to become the It Bag of 2010, and so far the favourite choices of colour are the classic Oak, as seen in the latest Mulberry adverts, the black lambskin, and our personal favourite - Ink. Although some of the bags are already instore they won't be displayed until the 11th, and with a waiting list as long as Alexa's legs it seems the new addition will definitely be worthwhile. On your marks, ladies.

Anya Hindmarch Set To Design For Barbour

We love a bit of English eccentricity, so imagine our delight at the news that Anya Hindmarch - the iconic handbag designer with a fanbase including Claudia Schiffer, Reese Witherspoon and Jourdan Dunn to name a few - and Barbour, one of Britain's most legendary heritage brands, will be teaming up this season.

Hindmarch is set to design a range of four outerwear jackets for Barbour, a brand which is loved by everyone from the Queen herself to fashion icons Karolina Kurkova and our very own Alexa Chung. The collaboration will be Hindmarch's first venture into ladieswear, after having a successful career in accessories. "Barbour is an iconic British brand and part of my childhood. The feel and smell of a Barbour waxed jacket is something that evokes home, family and country weekends. I can't wait to have mine so I can look less like a 'pavement girl' in the country," Anya told Grazia yesterday.

We look forward to seeing how her signature style of considered detailing and neat designs will translate to the classic Barbour jacket - and if the queues for the 'I'm Not A Plastic Bag' design are anything to go by, we'd better get our purses at the ready...

Nudie Jeans Takes Responsibility

Young Swedish denim brand Nudie Jeans - a favourite with Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke, Zac Efron and Jimmy Fallon - is all about revealing the “naked truth about denim”. Best known for its raw and prewashed denim jeans collection, with that trademark orange pocket stitching we’ve seen flying around, Nudie has grown in popularity for more reasons than simply looking good.

They believe, along with their many denim-conscious fans, that jeans are more than a piece of clothing. Rejecting glamour and trends, Nudie’s genuine concerns for the environment and human condition are mixed up to reflect the issues of everyday life. And so we weren’t surprised to hear that Nudie, in keeping with this philosophy, has joined Fair Wear Foundation - an independent, non-profit organisation that works to improve working conditions in the textile industry. “Social responsibility has always been important for us," Palle Stenberg, CEO at Nudie Jeans, said. "Joining Fair Wear Foundation gives the tools and the knowledge to take the next step and it also gives credibility to our efforts." We're glad to see that Nudie has taken a socially conscious - and still fashionable - start to 2010.

Marc Jacobs And Lorenzo Martone: Marriage Rumours Never End

Maybe Marc Jacobs and Lorenzo Martone did more than tote their Birkin bags and Louis Vuitton towels around St Barts over the Christmas holiday. Guest of a Guest and Stylexperts have claimed the two married during their island retreat, and since Jacobs mentioned last April that a December wedding in St Barts could occur, that would make sense. The happy couple are sporting major heavage in this picture from the Caribbean, but they are indeed glowing, and then there's that cake with miniature versions of the men on display. Sounds like a wedding, right?

Maybe not. A source close to the couple told The Cut that Jacobs and Martone didn't wed in St Barts, but rather art dealer Larry Gagosian held an engagement party for them. If that's true, then we still want an explanation for the cake.
