Matthew Williamson Is Launching A Bridal Line

Following in the footsteps of Jason Wu, Matthew Williamson has confirmed that he's launching a bridal line. Next year looks like a busy one for the designer. The bridal line will hit stores late next year and October saw him announce the launch his first diffusion line, 'Muse by Matthew Williamson' which is also set to be released next year.

As the Cut points out, white hasn't appeared in any of the designer's mainline collections. After all, he's known for his eclectic mix of colour so it will be interested to see what he does. On the announcement of the new he told ELLE UK:

I wanted to create a bridal collection that is both a natural extension of the mainline eveningwear, but at the same time reflects the opulence of such an important celebratory event. The pieces are characterised by feminine, diaphanous silhouettes in richly embellished luxurious fabrics.
