Karl Lagerfeld Adds Men To The Pirelli Line-Up

News came in today that Karl Lagerfeld, who has the honor of shooting the Pirelli calendar, has added three to four boys into the mix. Although the news came as a surprise to some, many thought the move was to be expected considering Uncle Karl's tendency to throw men into his shoots - most notably his recent muse Baptiste Giabiconi.

At present the Pirelli people are keeping tight lipped about the men taking part.  Unfortunately we've still got a bit of a wait before all is revealed. The big unveiling will take place on November 30 in Moscow.

Update: Isabeli Fontana tweeted images from the shoot revealing that the line up of girls includes herself, Heidi Mount, Natasha Poly, Magdalena Frackowiak, and Bianca Balti. Lara Stone and Julianne Moore are also rumoured to be taking part.

Buy Now, Love Forever : Asymmetry

Photos courtesy of Style.com, Forever 21, Topshop and Net-a-Porter

The one-shouldered wonder dress is here to stay, and to keep on-trend through Summer to Winter, veer clear of black, opt for bright colours and either embellishments or billowing ruffles. The latest breed of asymmetric dresses are not for the shy - choose from short and sweet for cocktail dresses as seen at Armani, or a statement floor-length gown a la Valentino for the more sophisticated events.

Is YSL Looking To Replace Stefano Pilati?

If you're a designer and don't want fashion folk to start talking, don't miss your own party it seems. This is perhaps what someone should have told Stefano Pilati this week as he's been the centre of a round of speculation regarding his position at YSL after he failed to attend the Metropolitan Opera Gala this week.

According to Daily Front Row, many have speculated that his absence was the result of the bosses at the brand feeling disatisfied with his work over te last few seasons. To make matters worse, the site alleges that during Paris Fashion Week retailers expressed their concern that although the brand's accessories sell well, their ready-to-wear line is struggling. The fact that the brand is a big sponsor of the event only intensified speculation that the bosses are already in the midst of searching for a replacement.

However, the brand's spokeswoman was quick to quash rumours: "He was busy with current work on the collection as well as the advertising campaign," she told the site.  YSL CEO Valérie Hermann was quick to protect him and continue the rumour control at a recent dinner: “Finally, Stefano Pilati, YSL’s creative director, has asked me to convey how sorry he is not to be able to join us tonight, and sends his very best wishes from Paris, where he is busy with the coming collection, “ she said. “Somebody still has to work in this company.”

But as The Cut points out, considering the lacklustre response to his last few collections for the house, is it a surprise that he's swapping parties for the drawing board?

Quote Me: Prabal Gurung Is Flying The Flag For Nepal

The First Lady wearing one of my dresses was quite an event,” he said. “You know, to me, it’s just a dress, but when I went home I realized it was so much bigger than that. Being stopped on the street by people thanking me for being a positive representative of Nepal — it was overwhelming.

Tinsley Mortimer Loved Her Harper's Bazaar Spread With 'Jersey Shore'

Tinsley Mortimer's response to her option to pose with a Harper's Bazaar editorial with the ladies of 'Jersey Shore': "I was like, 'Are you kidding me? Oh my God, it’s like a dream come true - I’m obsessed with those girls.'” And there you have it. Mortimer, who's now a reality star, took pride in her high-fashion spread with Snooki, JWoWW and Sammi - a charm-school themed shoot for which the magazine actually pulled in Emily Post's great-great-granddaughter (an instructor at the Emily Post Institute) to play the etiquette instructor.

"I used to take etiquette school," Snooki explained. Her co-stars also found that they didn't need training. Let's hope Mortimer, who played a "graduate debutante" taught the girls a thing or two. Click here to see a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot.

Is T Magazine's Lynn Hirschberg Moving To W?

Lynn Hirschberg's resignation from T magazine, where she served as editor-at-large, is officially in. Hirschberg, who lives in London, is finishing a story for the New York Times' Sunday magazine, and rumours are swirling now that she's stepping down from her post to become Stefano Tonchi's entertainment editor at W. Hirschberg has profiled a number of celebs for the Times, and she launched the 'Screen Test' video series - a set of candid celebrity interviews - that was nominated for a National Magazine Award in Digital Media for this year.

Gabe Doppelt, who left W for the Daily Beast last June, was the magazine's last full-time entertainment editor. Having Hirschberg on the team, as The Cut points out, could help secure more timely cover stars for the publication - one of Tonchi's immediate goals. Design director Edward Leida won't be around to see if the strategy might work, since he's leaving the magazine after 25 years at Fairchild. It seems there'll be plenty more changes under the reign of Tonchi, who took over his post as W editor-in-chief Monday, despite being in Milan now.
