Back in November we revealed that Leighton Meester has signed a big contract with Vera Wang and early this year we revealed a sneak peak of outtakes from the shoot and now the ad has finally been released.
Shot by Carter Smith, Meester appears on a balcony in Paris in a couture Wang gown to promote the brand's 'Lovestruck' fragrance. As well as featuring in the print campaign, the 'Gossip Girl' star will also appear in a TV commercial. “When I heard tourists saying, ‘I want to look like her,’ I knew we were right on the money,” Wang told WWD the day of the shoot. “There’s nothing like the real client in the street, and I mean the street literally — and in windows literally.”
The perfume will arrive in stores in American this summer.
Since Kate and William (now Duke and Duchess of Cambridge) tied the knot yesterday, images continue to be revealed from the party, as well as the official family shots taken before the couple took to the balcony.
So just because we know that you're still in Royal Wedding fever, here are a selection of images that have transpired over the last 24 hours.
Rihanna was out and about this week to promote the launch of her new Reb'l Fleur fragrance. The latest stop on her fragrance tour was Macy's where the 'S&M' singer spoke to fans and signed autographs.
It's no secret that we're Rihanna fans but every so often she slips away from her winning streak and comes out with outfits that don't quite work. For the launch she chose this Mandelay ivory polka dot chiffon dress that simply failed to excite and teamed it with nude Louboutin's and a formal up-do that looked miss matched. We're not impressed but you might disagree.
Your eyes aren't deceiving you: This is an all-chocolate version of Karl Lagerfeld's muse of the moment, Baptiste Giabiconi. As part of Lagerfeld's partnership with Magnum, which also saw him create a series of short films starring Giabiconi and Rachel Bilson, the designer conceptualised a full Paris hotel room made of 10.5 tons of Belgian chocolate. In the room, you'll find a chocolate chair, table, rug and bed - topped, of course, with a chocolate Baptiste in white-chocolate briefs.
It was the moment we have all been waiting for. Catherine Middleton, now the Duchess of Cambridge, stepped out in this beautiful Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding dress at Westminster Abbey.
David and Victoria Beckham have just arrived at London's Westminster Abbey to attend the much anticipated Royal Wedding. Victoria opted for this midnight blue dress with an asymmetric hem from her VB collection teamed with a Phillip Treacy hat.
In the news today, the sky is blue, and Dov Charney is being sued. In the latest of a string of legal battles facing the American Apparel CEO, three women who previously sued him for sexual harassment now have brought a suit for defamation, invation of privacy and impersonating them on the web. The accusers - Irene Morales, Alyssa Ferguson and Tesa Lubans-Dehaven - first filed a $260 million harassment suit in the Brooklyn Supreme Court, but a judge halted the case to determine if it had grounds to go further. (Meanwhile, American Apparel attorneys were arguing that the women were only trying to extort company money.)
The new suit, filed in the Los Angeles Supreme Court, alleges that American Apparel made fake racy blogs about the women. According to the filing, some blog posts included "nude or semi-nude pictures" of Ferguson and Morales and made them appear to have admitted "to an unlawful scheme of extortion." The women further accuse American Apparel of releasing their images to media outlets, up to and including the New York Times.
