Last night Dita Von Teese was amongst the guests helping Christian Louboutin celebrate the launch of his new retrospective at the British Museum but aside the real reason that she's in town is to promote the launch of her debut fragrance. Today she unveiled the frarance at Liberty and turned up sporting this statement Herve L. Leroux dress.
'Perfume is a tool for a woman to become every woman she ever wanted to be,' she told The Mirror. In Von Teese's case that woman embodies 'glamour, mystery and beauty'.
Her search for the perfect fragrance began after her boyfriend told her that she smelt like his mother. 'This really got me, because I really didn't want him to associate my smell with his mother, but on the other hand this perfume was perfect and iconic for me, it fit me perfectly and it was mysterious and unknown to everyone I met until that day,' she explained. 'I started hunting for other fragrances that could replace it and there were some which I really liked, but none of them felt like the real me and fit me. So, I decided to create my own scent and this was a dream come true.'

Last month Pantene announced that they are working with TeamGB track cyclist Victoria Pendleton but she's not the only person the brand are partnering with. Yesterday they revealed thatZooey Deschanel is their new face.
Deschanel, who follows in the footsteps of stars like Eva Mendes and Naomi Watts, is the fact of their Beautiful Lengths Collection, which will drop this August on print, online and on TV. 'I am so excited to be a part of the Pantene family,' she said in a release. 'Anyone who knows me knows that I am really into hair. I'm a real girly girl and love doing my hair and experimenting with different styles.'
Every other week news breaks about yet another big fashion shuffle but today's news is a bit different because all of the changes are taking place under one title. The majority of Elle.com's staff has reportedly jumped ship and moved elsewhere.
First up Keith Pollock, their editorial director, has been confirmed as the editor in chief of Du Jour - a new project launched in partnership with Gilt Groupe. He's bringing members of the Elle team with him to his new role so market editor Sydney Wasserman and art director Stephanie Jones are leaving too. The saddest departure from the site is Britt Aboutaleb, who I loved at Fashionista but who joined Elle.com as their fashion news director a while back. Rather than moving to another fashion role, she's ditched fashion altogether and has been hired as the beauty director of Who What Wear.
So far their replacements have not be announced and since they are some big shoes to fill, it'll be interesting to see how the website fairs in the coming months.
Yesterday I wrote about Azealia Banks' confirmation that she will perform at the Met Gala next week but according to the New York Post, she wasn't the first choice. Nicki Minajwas reportedly Vogue's first choice of performer but will not perform because her people failed to sign the papers the organizers needed, leading them to call Banks as a replacement.
To say that Rosie Huntington-Whitley is on an all time career high since signing on to star in the most recent instalment of 'Transformers' is quite the understatement. All you need to do is look at the Times' annual Rich List which was released last week, in which the British model made her debut after racking up a £5 fortune. With all of that success it's hard to remember the time when many were critical of Christopher Bailey's decision to book her as Lily Donaldson's replacement as the face of Burberry several years ago.
And it looks like things are only getting better for the 25 year-old. Not content with modelling, today Marks & Spencer announced that she will also turn her hand to design to create an exclusive lingerie line for their line, Autograph, to which Rosie is the currently the face. The collection, titled Rosie for Autograph, includes 33 pieces ranging from French knicker sets to silk pieces and kimono robes and will hit stores in September.
'M&S is an iconic British brand, adored by many so I'm very excited to be launching my debut lingerie line with them,' she said in a statement. 'I thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with the design team to create my dream collection, and I'm looking forward to a fun and creative time ahead.'
Like the majority of people I was severely traumatised after Shailene Woodley sported those five finger Vibram shoes with her Calvin Klein dress at the InStyle Golden Globes after party earlier on in the year. All is forgiven now as she appears back to her normal self with no Vibram's in sight in the latest issue of ASOS magazine.
In the issue, the 20 year-old sports the pyjama trend that I've been talking a lot about recently and also talks about the flack that she received for wearing that Valentino dress to the Oscars this year. 'A lot of people didn't like it. They were like, 'she's 20, she's covering herself up, why is she doing that?' But to me it felt classy and elegant and that's what I think of when I think of the Oscars,' she explained. 'It felt simple and elegant and it still represented who I am. Most of my clothes come through friends – this cardigan is two years old and these jeans are my friend's boyfriend's.'
While the critics have never been particularly positive about Madonna's film pursuits, the quality of the costumes in her directorial debut film, 'W. E', has never been in dispute and it's not difficult to understand why. She has long-time stylist Arianne Phillips to thank.
In line with the film's release on DVD and Blu-Ray today, Fashionista released an exclusive behind-the-scenes video where Phillips and Madonna talk about the ideas behind the costumes that you see in the film as well as the different designers and brands involved.

Brooklyn Decker has never been someone that I've particularly followed but that all changed recently, as there's no denying that she's pulled some strong looks out of the bag on the promotional tour for her latest film, 'Battlefield.' Her recent cover of Canadian magazine Flare magazine's June 2012 issue simply confirms her winning streak and sees her styled in a strong blue and white printed dress from Peter Pilotto's S/S12 collection.
The cover is strong for several reasons. Granted Decker looks incredible but more importantly it cements that British designers are really making waves internationally. Peter Pilotto is slowly being worn by more and more celebrities in Hollywood but to land a major cover, especially as a relatively young brand, is a definitely a big step in the right direction . Hopefully it doesn't end there.
