Femininity met urban chic at the Charlotte Ronson show at fashion week yesterday. Ronson managed to produce a really strong show despite earlier problems with seating for editors that arrived late from an earlier show that over ran.
Ronson really developed her designs and took them one step further this season. She presented the cute feminine pieces that we've all come to know and love from her, but also introduced some edgier structured pieces too.
With twin sister Samantha spining the music, models sashayed down the runway to start with, in soft neutrals tones airy fabrics all slightly structured around the waist. A jumpsuit nipped in at the waist in cream was feminine but still took a nod to urban cool.
As the show progressed Ronson held on to the 80's references that we saw in A/W 09/10. Dresses and jackets were structured and padded on the shoulders styled with acid wash denim.
The collection boasted utilitarian structured waistcoats in black and short sleeve blazer jackets in khaki layered over her signature feminine pieces.
