Alexa Chung, Irina Lazareanu
The 3.1 Phillip Lim show drew both Alexa Chung and Irina Lazareanu to New York Fashion Week, with Chung choosing a jacket and peace-sign tee, and Lazareanu sporting a sparkly, double-breasted style.
Who wins you over?

Touches of '70s - specifically, the days when disco was heading into punk - ventured into a knockout fall 3.1 Phillip Lim collection. This season, Phillip Lim went back to what he does best (zeitgeisty sportswear), with a range of outerwear that should top every young, fashionable girl's wishlist later this year. We particularly liked a shearling-lined leather bomber with removable trench detailing.
As usual, Lim brought out short, pretty dresses (some in sequins and lame). But besides coats, trousers were the story of the hour. High-waisted varieties and flares took over, with a blown-up plaid print adding points of interest. With Alexa Chung sitting front-row at Lim's show, we can guess those styles will get in the right hands to gain it-girl status.

Sports luxe is the answer to all of your off-duty looks. It is casual yet chic: Forget the '80s vibe of last year as there are no leg warmers in sight. To do this trend well, combine expensive jersey with sports wear - luxurious finishes are key. Alexander Wang mixed American football-inspired pieces with animal print and high heels. The look is effortless yet glossy and will be the comfiest trend of them all, so be a sport and get casual!

As the Christmas wrapping paper is barely settling on your living room floor, we know you are already thinking about that all important New Years Eve outfit. For the fuss free option to the midnight celebrations black is best. The LBD need not be boring with this seasons obsession with sequins and metalics not to mention the return of velvet. With some envy-inducing jewellery and to-die-for shoe art, you really can't go wrong. Here's to partying into 2010 in some midnight black style.

When you're wrapping up this winter we know it's not all about keeping warm. The only way to keep the cold out this season is with oversized textured pieces. With knitwear the only rule is the chunkier the better. Quirky cut out detailing or shaggy fringing will add to the textured style of this trend. Leather, suede and fur compliment the knitwear by continuing the textile theme. Larger than life snoods and scarves are a must and you could even take up knitting, either way it's all perfect to keep you toasty this Christmas.

For us Brits across the pond, it can be a nightmare trying to get hold of our favourite American brands without the seven-hour plus plane journey, right? Many brands stock exclusively to the US without options to ship to Britain, and if they do send our goodies to us, charge an extortionate postal rate. Bundle Box, however is providing the answers to our prayers.
Providing us with our own Stateside address, and buying on our behalf to avoid sites that don't accept British credit cards, it allows you to buy from many different American sites and bundle them all into a box of goodies, which will then be shipped to you within five to ten days. Perfect for Christmas shopping without the expensive trip to the Big Apple or LA, the more you bundle in your box, the better the shipping rate, and whilst some of the brands provided currently ship to the UK, there are savings to be had by buying from their hometown! The variety of brands available include 3.1. Phillip Lim, Forever 21 and Tory Burch, making the site a perfect place to do some early Christmas shopping. It's even free to register, so now we have no excuse not to look every inch the Gossip Girl this Winter.
