Last night, New York magazine caught up with Courtney Love at the Eighth Annual Benefit for the Elton John Foundation - which offered the perfect opportunity for Love to gossip about a former run-in with Anna Wintour. We're all ears, missy.
When asked if she had hung out with Sharon Stone at the benefit, the singer said: "I have a really good story about her. So we were outside the Ritz, years ago, and she sees Anna Wintour standing with me — she's been on the cover lots more than me. So I said, 'Anna, would you like a card?' She ignored me, turned away." [Love mimics Wintour turning her head away.] "So Sharon says. 'Anna, would you like a CARD?'" [Love, again, mimics the snub turn.]
Love continued: "So [Sharon Stone] blows up and says: 'I DO MORE IN A YEAR THAN YOU DO IN TEN! I'M MORE INVOLVED IN FASHION THAN YOU EVER F*CKING WILL BE IN YOUR LIFE!'"
Yikes. But don't worry, Courtney. If Alexander Wang had you play at his fashion-week party recently, then you can't be that snub-worthy.

We would say Alexander Wang is having a moment, but he's a bit too established for that, no? The New York-based designer has just taken this year's prestigious Swiss Textiles Award in Zurich at Stella Fashion Night.
Wang, with his American sportswear-influenced collection, bested Brit designers including Peter Pilotto and Erdem, as well as New York labels Ohne Titel and Thakoon, and Alexis Mabille of Paris. As winner of the prize, Wang will take home 100,000 euros, or about $150,000. "There’s always more to do!" the designer told Grazia after the event. "I can do so much more with my business now – I’m very lucky."
Besides joining the Swiss Textiles Awards high-ranked winners list (previous honourees include Rodarte, Marios Schwab, Raf Simons, Bruno Pieters and Haider Ackermann, Wang has a pretty good stretch of recent awards to his name. He has been named the CFDA Womenswear Newcomer and took the Vogue CFDA Fund prize last year. At this point, is there anything Wang can't win?

To say that Lara Stone is the girl of the moment, is an understatement. Having walked for the likes of Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Miu Miu, Givenchy, Fendi, Karl Lagerfeld and Jaeger, to name but a few, and starred in ad campaigns ranging from H&M (Sonia Rykiel collaboration) and Revlon, to Jean Paul Gautier and DKNY, it is clear that the industry is head over heels in love with Ms Stone (and rightly so too!) She has most recently been ranked 3rd in a Top 50 Female Models poll put together by models.com, and deemed by W magazine (in it's August 2009 issue) as the 'most wanted face of the moment'.
With so many accolades, and a bank balance that is clearly bulging inspite of the recession, it was a surprise for us to learn that the 27 year old was admitted to rehab earlier this year, to treat alcoholism.

Oh how we love Alexander Wang. Not only because he designs eye-wateringly stunning clothes and accessories but also because he's never afraid to speak his mind. Having drawn inspiration from American football including the team uniforms for his upcoming collection, the 25 year old wonder boy of the moment admitted at his trunk show at Barneys a few days ago that, he was not much of a sportsman at school and that, "To be honest, I didn't even know they were in the World Series", speaking about the Yankees. As to the question of why he chose American football as his theme for the next collection, he explained "After coming off of a season that felt very structured and graphic, I wanted something that had a little bit more of a nostalgic feeling."

Despite New York Fashion Week moving to Lincoln Centre next year, Estée Lauder Group President John Demsey revealed today that the M.A.C sponsored satellite location will continue to be at Milk Studios, and although M.A.C will also be at Lincoln Centre, they will be backstage and not as a sponsor. “We’re committed to Milk for the next two years,” he told The Cut on Friday. With the success of this years partnership between the pair, the M.A.C at Milk initiative will no doubt be welcomed back by designers such as Alexander Wang, Erin Fetherston and Peter Som, who took up the chance to showcase at Milk this year.

Fashion and beauty go hand in hand, so it comes as no surprise that we're eager to know what we'll be wearing on our face next season, let alone our bodies. Besides the usual summer beauty trend- beach hair and tanned limbs- we've got the run down of all the newest looks to emerge from the SS10 runways. The only question is, which one will you be wearing come spring time?

Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen were just two of the 31 new members inducted into the CFDA this week, with a reception led by the group's president, Diane Von Furstenberg, at New York's Four Seasons. Current members Alexander Wang, Vera Wang and more came out for the gathering, and Tory Burch looked especially cute with her daughter as a date. Congrats to all - we're getting excited for February's fashion weeks already.
