I'm usually the biggest fan of anything Riccardo Tisci does at Givenchy but the matador-meets-equestrian style Fall 2012 collection wasn't my favourite. Sadly that didn't change when Amanda Seyfried sported one of the dresses last night at the 2012 Tony Awards in New York. Putting my opinion of the collection aside, I'm still not convinced that it works on the actress.
Amanda Seyfried showed that it's not all about the big brands yesterday at the premiere of her new movie, 'In Time'. Rather than opting for a big brand, the actress stepped out in the electric blue shorts suit by H&M teamed with black heels by Sergio Rossi.
Gwyneth Paltrow isn't the only actress getting first dibs on the S/S12 collection. Prabal Gurung's latest collection was a firm favourite amongst the fash pack last month and lucky Amanda Seyfried bagged this dress from the collection to wear to the premiere of her new movie, 'In Time'. While I love the dress, naturally, it's not wowing me on Seyfried but you might disagree.
Amanda Seyfried wore Look 40 from the Armani Prive spring haute couture collection - the style originally worn by Kasia Struss on the runway - to tonight's Academy Awards. We're loving the futuristic strapless neckline and full-on texture.
Last night's Golden Globes led into a few after-parties - including the official fete at the Beverly Hilton Hotel's Oasis Courtyard, plus an HBO event at the hotel's Circa 55 restaurant - and that gave us the chance to see partygoers who didn't make it to the red carpet. That includes Lindsay Lohan, who chose a sparkly hooded dress for the occasion (and also crashed a gathering hosted by the New York Times Style Magazine), and the likes of Ashley Olsen, Amanda Seyfried and Camilla Belle. Even actresses who did hit the awards ceremony, like Golden Globe-winner Chloe Sevigny, showed up to let loose. And if everyone could let loose while looking as good as Ms Sevigny in Christian Lacroix Haute Couture, then we should head to Beverly Hills parties seven days a week.
Katy Perry and Kylie Minogue took home top honours at this week's Glamour Women of the Year Awards, hosted at Berkeley Square Gardens and boasting a moderately out-there red carpet line up. Perry was named Newcomer of the Year at the Ceremony, while Kylie was dubbed both Entrepreneur and Woman of the Year.
But on to the clothes. Kylie's shrug is up for debate, and we think we've seen that colour combo on Henry and Pixie before. Whose look do you like best?
