Last week we brought youRihanna's Armani Jeans campaign and now the brand have released the full series of images for the singer's Emporio Armani Underwear campaign. Like the jeans ad, Rihanna was shot by Steven Klein with the same moody film noir vibe, and like the all of the men in the world right now, we've in love with her partnership with the brand. Although the shots are sexy, it's nice to see that they didn't go as risque and obvious as they could have. Whether or not the images match the bar set by Victoria and David Beckham though, I'm not too sure.
When I heard that Rafael Nadal had signed a deal with Armani Jeans, I was surprised. He wasn't the first spokesperson that sprung to mind but having seen his first ad for the brand, I'm pleasantly suprised. The tennis player shows off his athletic physche in the campaign to good effect. Megan Fox's campaign for the underwear line is out too but it was disappointing and left us hoping for a change in the line-up. If they're looking for curves, why not Kim Kardashian?
It's safe to say that Giorgio Armani is still happy with choosing Megan Fox to replaceVictoria Beckham as the face of the Emporio Armani underwear and Armani Jeans. Want proof? Yesterday the brand announced that she will also front their cosmetics line.
The former 'Transformers' actress spoke to WWD about the news saying: “Mr. Armani is an iconic visionary for all things fashion,” Fox said. “I’m honored to be associated with him and part of this campaign.”
A spokesperson revealed that Fox was the perfect choice for the campaign because “she embodies the spirit of the women of today: free, confident and seductive. Her beautiful features reveal femininity, sensuality and strength.”
The campaign, which was shot by Craig McDean, will be released in October.
Becoming the muse de jour of one of the most distinguished and influential designers in the world is a feat which few people are able to achieve, unless of course your name is Baptiste Giabiconi.
The 19 year old model was first spotted by Karl Lagerfeld whilst on a French Vogue editorial, dressed in Chanel and heels. Since then, the model has starred in a number of S/S 09 campaigns for the likes of Chanel, Armani Jeans and Karl for Karl Lagerfield, to name but a few. He has been described by Lagerdfield as ' the boy version of Gisele [Bundchen]...good for clothes and great with no clothes', so great that he has recently been shot posing naked in stilletos in an advertorial for Purple magazine which, was directed by Oliver Zahm and Lagerfield himself. Zahm said he 'wanted to portray the iconic Helmut Newton woman' hence the nakedeness and stilletos.
