Lindsay Lohan really is an advocate for the old saying that 'no publicity is bad publicity', as within minutes of being sentenced to a 90-day prison sentence on account of violating her probation, editors and buyers alike found themselves receiving press releases for the troubled starlet's clothing line, with the ironic subject line "LINDSAY LOHAN AT IT AGAIN."
The release for her collection, 6126 reveals that the newest range is made up of "65 styles of leggings with leather or lace inserts, reversible sequins, studded detail, a dusting of black sequins and more...", while Lohan herself adds "I wanted to make sure that every piece in this collection would be something I would wear and be proud of." Looking at a previous episode with a certain infamous heiress and her time in prison (which caused a roadblock outside of her store due to demand), it seems that LiLo's time behind bars might do her career in fashion some good.
"It's not necessarily a bad thing," explained Jeff Vansinderen, a senior retail analyst at B.Riley & Co, "At the end of the day it may not hurt, and it could even help sales in an ironic and twisted way. It would help if she is successful in her recovery and fans got behind her. Then she could use that to her benefit to promote the line." Shame that with a uniform of orange boilersuits Lindsay can't physically promote the range now, hey?
