As expected, the full Kardashian brood attended Avril Lavigne's S/S12 collection for Abbey Dawn yesterday where 14 year-old Kylie Jenner walked into the show. Even new member of the family, Kris Humphries, made an appearance sitting next to Lavigne's boyfriend and Kardashian step-brother Brody Jenner.
The show was just what you would imagine an Avril Lavigne collection to be. So yes, over the knee length black and white striped shorts came with just about everything, short tutus appeared as did plaid shirts, braces, super short checked skirts, bowler hats and fingerless lace gloves so not necessarily what you would want to see your teenager daughter in. Think Taylor Momsen, and you're almost there.

Controversy about the use of underage models in the industry is an issue that is never too far from the headlines so with Fashion Week beginning today, the issue has reared up again. Last week WWD reported that Diane Von Furstenberg and CFDA CEO Steven Kolb had sent letters out to designers urging them to check the ages of models on the day of the show to ensure they are over 16 but it looks like these initatives aren't aggressive enough as Avril Lavigne confirmed that Kylie Jenner will walk in her Abbey Dawn collection this week.
While her older sister Kendall isn't interested in walking the runway, Kylie wants to jump right in by walking in brother Brody Jenner's girlfriend's show. Although that's all well and good Kylie, the youngest in the Kardashian-Jenner brood, has only just turned 14 so is well below the standard imposed by the CFDA. Despite the clear guidelines, the CFDA don't appear to have any enforcement mechanism in place to deal with such instances. 'The CFDA Health Initiative guidelines are suggested recommendations put forth for the industry. The latest version has been distributed widely,' Kolb told Fashionista. 'We are not in a position to police or enforce these recommendations. We can only hope that they are followed and taken seriously and are happy that so many in our industry are acting responsible.'
So what should be done? Understandably these guidelines are needed but on the other hand, Lavigne's line is targeted to the tween market and that's exactly what Kylie is.
It's official, Speidi tied the knot on the weekend at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, California. MTV was there filming the whole event for the season finale of The Hills. Heidi chose a custom white Monique Lhuillier wedding dress worth $19,000 for the ceremony. Somehow Montag also managed to show off some serious bling on the day. According to sources, the bride was draped into nearly $1.2 million in Neil Lane jewels.
Pratt wore an Ermenegildo Zegna suit on the day, as did all of his groomsmen.
Every time I hear that one of the cast of MTV TV series 'The Hills' get's a spin-off, I have to laugh. The fact that you can have a spin-off a spin-off is hilarious. As The Cut points out, 'The Hills' spin-offs have a 50% failure rate. Considering we've only had 'The City' from Whitney Port and 'Bromance' from Brody Jenner, I'll let you decide which one makes that 50%.
