Pringle Makes A Fresh Return To London

Joining the brigade of British brands returning to London Fashion Week for it's 25th anniversary were Pringle of Scotland, who have previously been showing collections in Milan. With knitwear as it's heritage, it made sense that designer, Clare Waight Keller, focused on a mixture of chunky and fine knitted garments, with cable and gauge knits in a minimal, chic colour palette of white, pale lemon and grey.

With a rather neutral colour base, it was the details in the knitwear, large, funnel necked coats and tops and layered, assymetric skirts that added interest to a collection that was fresh and exciting for Spring Summer 2010. After a winter full of grungy, dark colours and strong eighties power dressing, the SS10 Pringle of Scotland collection boosted morale for an optimistic upcoming season, with highlights being the 'Tilda' dress, which came in black and an off-white - long, silk dresses with ruffles down the front and a bare, exposed back - and the subtle, shimmering, muted bronze puffed shorts teamed with a nude blazer.
