L’Oréal Paris Prepare To Launch 'Hairspray Confessions'

Last week Clarins announced that they've decided to jump on the digital wave by launching their own beauty blog and now L’Oréal Paris are doing the same. Instead of going down the blog route, though, today they confirmed that will soon launch a series of YouTube videos called 'Hairspray Confessions'.

According to WWD, the idea behind the videos is to celebrate the brand's signature Elnett Satin Hairspray and so far they've tapped everyone from Coco Rocha to Iris Apfel to appear in some behind-the-scenes confessionals. At the moment the format of the videos is still unclear but what we do know is that the project is part of a five-part series and will be hosted by Derek Blasberg and will start rolling out next month.

For the longest time Tyra Banks has dominated the modelling reality show scene but it seems like that's about to change as we prepare for new rival show, The Face, to drop.

Despite the fact that Naomi Campbell has been enlisted to front the show, the response to the news was lukewarm and it's not difficult to understand why. America's Next Top Model's viewing numbers continue to flail behind the huge numbers that it used to draw in, suggesting that we're all over that show format. For The Face, then, it was important for them to introduce something new in order to get us watching and that's exactly what they've done.

Last week bosses announced that Karolina Kurkova and Coco Rocha have both signed on to join Naomi Campbell on the judging panel. Rather than simply judging the girls photographs at the end of each challenge, each judge will be given their own group of models to mentor and guide through the various challenges and projects throughout the course of the show.

2012 Met Gala: Round-Up Of The Best Dressed

Anticipation for this year's Met Gala was high and the event definitely didn't disappoint. While it's true, there were several disappointing looks from people like Coco Rocha and Jessica Chastain, the majority of the looks were really strong and it was really good to see people research and commit to this year's Schiaparelli theme.

The above is a round-up of my favourite looks. Regular readers will know that I was on the dubious side about Joseph Altuzarra teaming up with Lana Del Rey but I was pleasantly surprised by the results. Her dress, along with her new dark hair, looked beautiful and so did Carey Mulligan in her golden Prada creation. As an Olsen fan, I'm generally impressed by anything either twin turns up in and last night was no different. The black dress from The Row that Mary-Kate Olsen was classically simple but still powerful.

Coco Rocha Isn't Happy With Elle Brazil Over Partially Nude Cover

One of the thing's I've always admired about Coco Rocha is her ability to say no to certain things, especially in an industry which is often all about about saying 'yes'. Nudity or partial nudity is one of those things so when when this image of the model on the cover of Elle Brazil surfaced, many were surprised but it looks like Coco felt the same way.

Today the model took to her Tumblr to explain that she was actually wearing a flesh coloured body suit under the dress, which has has been photoshopped away without her authorisation:

As a high fashion model I have long had a policy of no nudity or partial nudity in my photo shoots. For my recent Elle Brazil cover shoot I wore a body suit under a sheer dress which I now find was photoshopped out to give the impression of me showing much more skin than I was, or am comfortable with. This was specifically against my expressed verbal and written direction to the entire team that they not do so. I’m extremely disappointed that my wishes and contract was ignored. I strongly believe every model has a right to set rules for how she is portrayed and for me these rules were clearly circumvented.

Coco has been an avid supporter of empowering models to take informed choices through her work on the board of the Model Alliance so her response is completely justified. We can only hope that more models feel confident enough to follow suit as when something like this happens.

Coco Rocha Will Present A New Reality TV Show

Coco Rocha is one of the few models that have managed to carve a solid career for themselves outside the modelling realm. Through her blog, she quickly became the face of a campaign for healthy standards in modelling and during New York Fashion week this month, she went behind the lens to shoot behind-the-scenes for New York Magazine. Today she confirmed that's only the beginning.

Rocha has been bocked to host a new hair and make-up reality show which is set to premiere online this spring. Much in the format of reality shows like 'Project Runway' and 'America's Next Top Model', the show called 'Canada's Beauty Talent' will see you hair and make-up artists compete against each other in the hope of getting spreads in various magazines.

Watch: Coco Rocha Gets Her Dance-On For Longchamp

We've always known that Coco Rocha could move (remember when she did the Irish jig at Jean Paul Gaultier) and Longchamp officially wanted in on the action. Their latest video, called 'Oh! My bag!' sees Rocha break into the can-can with fellow model and dancer Liisa Winkler and professional dancer Alexia Level. If the video didn't get you excited about the collection, it will definitely have you reaching for the gym pass as we have director Bianca Li to thank for all of shots of the girls toned legs.
