Minimalism has been the buzz word over the last few years, especially at the height of the recession, and while it has fallen out of favour recently with all of the prints and couture-like elements that we've seen on the runway, Dagmar are a brand that are still doing it well. Their paired back contemporary designs have quickly gained a reputation for being wardrobe essentials that are simple and effortless but still interesting.
Earlier on this week the brand revealed some good news. As well as being available on ASOS, the Scandinavian brand has now secured Net-A-Porter as a stockist for both the European and American markets. 'It's truly an honour to be represented at Net-A-Porter with their amazing line up of brands,' CEO Katrina Roger said in a statement. 'It is a fantastic way to reach out to a broader international market.' The first collection to be featured online is their A/W12 collection, which you will be able to buy on the site from August.'
If there's one new brand that you should keep your eye out for, it's Swedish brand Dagmar. Since its launch back in the spring of 2005, the fashion house has scooped the Best New Designer award from Elle Sweden and is stocked in just about every online retailer that matters and after looking at the collection, it quickly became clear why.
Like many other Scandinavian brands, sisters Kristina Tjäder, Karin Söderlind and Sofia Wallenstam manage to produce pieces that look effortless but feel and look special. From season to season their collection combine all of the pieces your wardrobe needs from the perfect tee to a coloured tailored pant and a selection of perfect draped dresses that will take you from the office to an after-work 'do of drinks.
If there's anything that customers needs since the economic slump it's clothes that work hard for you, and luckily for you, Dagmar has your back.
