Last month figures were released showing a good first half of the year for Victoria Beckham and if recent reports are anything to go by, her empire is continuing to grow. According to the Daily Mail, Beckham is thinking about expanding into childrenswear. “In some of her down time with Harper, Victoria has been jotting down drawings and coming up with ideas for kids clothes that are practical but fun too," an insider allegedly told Showbiz Spy. "David is really excited about the line too and Victoria can’t wait to get going on the project.”
Although the move would make sense, I doubt these reports are true. In a recent interview the designer made it clear that she wants to take her time with introducing new lines and wants to focus on the areas that she's currently working in. After all, this year she has already launched a new line in the form of her contemporary line, Victoria by Victoria Beckham and in handbag line is not even a year old and if there's anything that Beckham has proved to do well, it's an ability to be a good judge of timing.

Brand Victoria Beckham is doing well - really well - and rightfully so. Despite criticisms for high prices, her handbag line has been a great success at retail and her debut runway show the experimentation this season with looser silhouettes and shapes were met with critical acclaim also this season also saw the launch of her diffusion line, Victoria by Victoria Beckham.
So it comes at no surprise that the brand is expected to do well this year. The label is set to earn more than £60million this year, a spokesperson from the company confirmed, with that figure set to increase significantly next year when the diffusion line hits stores. Sales for the mainline were up by 70% to £15million compared in the first three months of 2011 compared to the same time last year, the Daily Mail reports.

Style.com: 'De la Renta has ditched the old church where he's presented for the last couple of years in favor of his new 42nd Street showroom. New venue, new lease on life? The space is un-renovated, and the runway is narrow. It meant you had an up-close view of the beautiful handwork that has won him so many fans over the years.'
Daily Mail: 'As the grand master of red carpet glamour it is little surprise that Oscar de la Renta was one of the most eagerly-anticipated shows at New York Fashion Week. And the designer, 79, lived up to expectation with a spring/summer collection that seemed made for the red carpet.'
Houston Chronical: 'Oscar de la Renta doesn't hold back in an unsure economy. Maybe he doesn't have to. Mixed among the typical New York Fashion Week crowd of retail buyers, stylists and editors at the designer's Tuesday night show were private customers — paying customers — making notes about what they'd like to be wearing next spring. For those women, de la Renta didn't disappoint, with shocking-colored Chinese lamb jackets paired with wide-leg trousers, silk bow-tie blouses and embroidered skirt suits, and the big ballgowns that they need for their jet-setter schedule.'
Grazia UK: ‘Way to go ODLR!’ we squealed on Twitter as Oscar de la Renta kicked off his S/S’12 collection with a FROW-skimming ball gown of mustard taffeta. Traditionally, a catwalk show crescendos to this kind of extravagance – the finale gown usually being the grandest – but the designer geniously flipped the switch and won gasps of awe from his adoring crowd.'
She and Lee didn't get on. Lee had offended her at the party where I first met her and Amy never forgave him. When he sent her a dress to say sorry she put it on the barbecue. She also spat on one of his dresses at Selfridges which she had to pay for because she had soiled it. At first she refused then she just said, 'Fine - but tell Alexander McQueen I ruined his dress'."
The singer's ex boyfriend, Archie Reed, told the Daily Mail

This image of Codie Young appeared on the Topshop homepage recently triggering a dramatic response from customers and eating disorder capaigners alike due to the models thin frame. Campaigners criticised the high street retailer for glamorising Young's waif-like physique especially since their customer base is predominately teens.
Although Topshop have responded to the criticism by replacing Young with another model, critics complain that the new model is only marginally healthier than the images of Young and both parties maintain that the 18 year old model is a healthy size eight but is 'naturally skinny'. ‘A disturbing picture of a stick-thin model can cause problems with young girls, who may try to copy them,’ Karen Easthall, the head of an anorexia support group in Norfolk, told the Daily Mail. ‘Topshop should know better.’ Helen Davies, an anorexia researcher, agreed with Easthall. ‘Images like this are affecting young girls more than ever before. ‘It’s a constant battle against eating disorders and Topshop is not helping matters," she explained. ‘Size four clothes are available in Topshop stores, which implies again that it’s healthy to be that size. Topshop needs to take some responsibility and use healthy models.’

We all know that John Galliano is designing Kate Moss' wedding dress for her nuptials to Jamie Hince on July 2 but with his pending trial taking place on the same week, he won't be on hand to dress the model on the big day.
Instead Moss will rely on Galliano's partner, Alexis Roche, to dress and prepare her for the big day. ‘Alexis has stepped in to ensure everything goes according to plan with the dress,’ an insider close to the model told the Daily Mail.

Gisele Bundchen clearly picked up a thing or two while modeling for Victoria's Secret. Last week the former Angel took to the runway to model and launch her new line, Gisele Bundchen Intimates with Brazilian company Hope. The collection will be available in 2,000 retailers in Brazil only from May 25.
The move is hardly a surprise considering the model's penchant for business. Last week Forbes reported that she earned a whopping $45 million last year alone. Although little information has been released on the line, what the model has confirmed is that she will not appear in either the ads or look book for her line.
