Last week Chanel hosted a star studded dinner in support of the Tribeca Film Festival Artist Awards Program. Everyone from model Dree Hemingway to actress Debra Messing attended.
The evening honored 10 contemporary artists, who donated pieces to the festival's 2009 Artist Awards Program. A design for each participating artist will be presented to winning filmmakers from each category. The artists include: Stephen Hannock, Clifford Ross, Robert Mangold, Hank Willis Thomas, Fritz Chestnut, Mickalene Thomas, Kalup Linzy, Tom Slaughter, SunTek Chung and David Salle.
This was Chanel's fourth consecutive year supporting the initiative.

On Tuesday, Vanity Fair magazine celebrated The 2009 Tribeca Film Festival by hosting a party in New York.

Evan Rachel Wood
For a second, I almost forgot Evan Rachel Wood's taste in men. The ex-fiancee of Marilyn Manson and former tonsil-hockey buddy of Mickey Rourke stunned the red carpet last night with a look so ladylike she practically can't be from this century. Woody Allen's film 'Whatever Works' opened the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival on Wednesday, drawing the likes of Mary-Kate Olsen, Uma Thurman and Bradley Cooper to the paparazzi line.
As for Woody Allen's crowd control, let's assume American Apparel's Dov Charney was not invited.
