Zoe Saldana has kept a relatively low profile recently but last night she made a return to the red carpet last night in a major way at the Hollywood premiere of her new movie, 'The Words'.
The actress opted for this gold emboridered knee-length cocktail dress from Elie Saab's A/W12 collection to do so and finished the look off with a relaxed up-do and T-bar heels. Everything about the look works, something that isn't hard when you're wearing one of Saab's designs, and I'm sure this is only the start of what is set to be a strong series of red carpet looks from her as the promotional tour begins.
Elie Saab plus Jessica Biel is a good combination. The 'Total Recall' actress has rarely been spotted not wearing the designers wares since promoting the movie and how could you forget how beautiful she looked wearing the brand's lace gown at the Golden Globes earlier on this year.
It should come as no surprise, then, that she's turned to the designer to create the dress for her big day. 'She's having Elie Saab make her wedding gown,' an insider confirmed to Life & Style. 'She's been a fan of his for many years.' What the dress will look like is still unclear but the Golden Globes outfit is a pretty good starting point.
Are you excited to see her dress?

Emma Stone can do no wrong. Last week everyone was talking about the success of her spread in the July issue of Vogue and today everyone's attention turned to what she would wear to attend the London premiere of 'Amazing Spider-Man'.
The 24 year-old sported a jumpsuit from the Elie Saab Fall 2012 and she looked great doing so. The thing that the she does so well is always changing things up. Many expected her to sport a Lanvin gown for the occasion but as always, she decided to do something different and considering how sometimish the critics can be (look at how quickly they lost interest with Rooney Mara), that's a quality that will serve her well.
Along with the Met Gala, the annual amfAR event during the Cannes Film Festival is one of the biggest events on the calendar. Unlike some of the big award ceremonies that can often be a bit hit and miss, amfAR always attracts a good red carpet and last night, with the exception of Kate Upton, was no exception.
Diane Kruger continued her reign as one of the best dressed women at this year's event, sporting a dress from the Chanel Resort 2013 collection that was unveilved recently. Karolina Kurkova continued her love of all things gold in a beautiful Roberto Cavalli sheer sequin dress with a matching jacket but you'll pleased to know that it came sans gold blingy hat.
All eyes may have been on the red carpet at Cannes over the weekend but a big event took place in Las Vegas too last night, as it played host to the 2012 Billboard Music Awards.
While the red carpet looks didn't quite match up to what we saw in Cannes, the looks were actually pretty good. Taylor Swift sported a red Elie Saab gown, Julianne Hough looked incredible in a silver Kaufman Franco creation and Miley Cyrus had everyone talking in this Jean Paul Gaultier double breasted mini dress.
As red carpet dressing goes, it doesn't get much better than Elie Saab and yesterday the brand did it again and had a major moment at the Cannes Film Festival. Fan Bingbing wore this sequined dress with a matching cape from their couture collection teamed with Chopard jewelry.
The red carpet looks at last night's Oscars was mixed. Angelina Jolie looked incredible in an Atelier Versace black gown with thigh high slit, just about everyone wearing Elie Saab Couture looked incredible and Emma Stone stole the show in a red halter neck Giambattista Valli Couture gown.
Unsurprisingly, Jessica Chastain chose an Alexander McQueen gown and Rooney Mara chose Givenchy as we expected but unfortunately did not make the statement that we were all hoping for. The most interesting look of the night came from Gwyneth Paltrow who, like last year with that Calvin Klein dress, managed to pull off a difficult Tom Ford dress.
As we count down to tonight's Oscars, we have compiled some images of some of the best red carpet moments we've had over the last few years.
Naturally Hilary Swank's Guy Laroche dress that she wore to accept the Best Female gong for 'Million Dollar Baby' is in the list, alongside Nicole Kidman in that red Balenciaga halter neck dress that she wore in 2007 and that breathtaking Atelier Versace gown that Penelope Cruz wore back in 2007.
If there's anyone that I'm excited about for the Oscars, it's Emma Stone. Her last few outfit choices have been really strong. Just take the Lanvin gown that she wore to the Golden Globes and the black Alexander McQueen dress that she wore to the SAG Awards as the most recent examples.
Yesterday she scored stole the show again in this white dress with cut outs on the back from the Elie Saab couture collection so with that in mind, expectations for her outfit this weekend are high.
I'd never really followed Jessica Chastain's style but that all changed recently. At the ELLE Style Awards earlier this month she wowed the crowd in a black Alexander McQueen dress and last week she managed to pull off one of the brand's tricky two piece skirt suits at an event in New York.
But it doesn't end there. The actress struck gold again in this green sleeveless chiffon gown with sheer lace detailing from the S/S12 Elie Saab collection to attend the 40th anniversary of Charlie Chaplin's honorary Academic Award.
