When we think of reliable fashion bibles, we think of magazines like French Vogue. The name Offers Supermarket has never come to mind. Consider it shocking, then, that Offers Supermarket was exactly the source the telegraph - and Hilary Alexander - used for a recent story on the 10 most iconic dresses of the past 50 years. Included on the list were Geri Halliwell's Union Jack dress, Bjork's wearable swan and Elizabeth Hurley's safety-pin Versace. Not included? Anything worn by Grace Kelly or Jackie O, and those are just the most obvious drops.
Despite Offers Supermarket's propensity to make polls that are easy to recycle in the press, it doesn't add up that someone with Alexander's credibility would take such a survey seriously. As Fashionista points out, "That’s like running the Most Iconic Jewelry as voted by Home Depot customers." To make things right, Fashionista came up with a new list - what dresses make yours?

Yesterday Estée Lauder confirmed that Liu Wen and Constance Jablonski are the latest addition to their line of brand ambassadors, which currently includes Hilary Rhoda, Carolyn Murphy, Elizabeth Hurley and Gwyneth Paltrow. Although they have not confirmed what each are set to promote, we are told that the campaign will debut in June.
This is the first time the pair have worked with the brand and Liu is officially the first Chinese model to be signed to the brand; while Constance is the first French model to land the campaign. “Estée Lauder has always searched for global beauties that define a generation," Aerin Lauder said. "Constance and Liu Wen are the beauties of our time. Both models have quickly captured the attention of the fashion and beauty world.”
Elizabeth Hurley went out to the Love Ball with her husband, Arun Nayar, last night, and we somehow imagine her sari was a little more transparent than she thought. But...we did love the colour.
