Naomi and I often talk about how we're sick of people comparing Michelle O to Jackie O. The current First Lady has a good degree, a good professional background and has more to offer the world than arm muscles. However, she brings a sense of grace to the role that, let's face it, we never got out of Laura Bush and could never have dreamt of with Cindy McCain. In honour of that, here's a photo tribute to some of Michelle's looks from G20 conference week - including the outfit she wore to meet the queen. Hint: it's Isabel Toledo and as chic as imagined.
'The City' star Whitney Port covers the latest issue of Cosmopolitan.
Have a look at a sneak peak of the interview below:
On the pressures of being a reality star: “I break down a couple of times a week, at least. It gets overwhelming. Sometimes I think that I can’t take this anymore. I just want to live a normal life.”
Scarlett Johansson is everywhere these days. From stepping out of the offices from French Vogue, the actress has now landed a deal with Moet and Chandon to front their latest ads. Shot by well renowned photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, who also recently shot Katie Holmes for the Miu Miu ads, Scarlett said:
“I am honored to have been chosen as their ambassador and to make history with the brand, as the first celebrity face of champagne. Moet and the movies both tell compelling stories and share authentic emotions with the world.”
"Scarlett Johansson was the obvious choice as our ambassador because she, like Moët, has a magical story to tell and makes people dream”, saidFrederic Cumenal, President of Moët & Chandon. “She is a true icon of celebration — refreshingly spontaneous, generous, glamorous and she lives life to the fullest both on-screen and off”.
The hipster's favourite mag turned 10 this year (or I guess it's not cool to say hipster anymore, so fill in your own blank), and the Nylon crew celebrated with a bash at New York's Thompson LES last night. Curious who was there? Wondering if the fashion was as quirky as you'd expect? I can only say that we should be seeing more of Ciara these days...
Drew Barrymore is Gotham Magazine's April cover girl.
In the magazine she discussed her latest role as “Little Edie” in HBO’s upcoming Grey Gardens:
“I didn’t speak on the phone or watch television or read the newspaper and BlackBerry or speak to my family or one friend for three months… I felt I had to isolate myself. It was really painful for me not to have contact with the people I love. I felt like it would be fraudulent to talk on a cell phone- ‘Like, yeah, I’ll call you back in a second’- and walk back on set and pretend I’m this person who wouldn’t even know what a cell phone was.”
At last night's NRDC Forces for Nature benefit, Stella McCartney let it slip that she would 'absolutely' be interested in moving her show from Paris to New York.
Don't expect the move to come any time soon though. Speaking to The Cut, she said that the move will not happen, "yet, but one day. I'd love to; I'm half New Yorker, so I'd love to."
