He's known for creating look books with no hair, make-up or lights on nothing more than a simple Polaroid camera. Can't guess who I'm talking about? Only Scott Sternberg of Boy by Band of Outsiders, of course.
In previous lookbooks, he's shot everyone from Sarah Silverman to, more recently, Kirsten Dunst. For Fall, Marisa Tomei is the woman of choice and was shot last Thursday at the Chateau Marmont and Bar Marmont, according to Fashionologie.

If like us, you've been desperately wishing that we could have our very own fashion version of the MTV show Cribs, you'll be pleased with this post.
According to The Real Estalker, this four floor, 2,957 square foot house in East London's Victoria Park up for sale is the home of Alexander McQueen. As Fashionologie points out, the minimalist interior designed by architect David Adjaye is not what you would expect considering McQueen's avante garde fashion aesthetic.
The house is currently listed for £1,700,000 (approximately $2.87m).

Since being appointed the head of women's wear for Salvatore Ferragamo in 2008, Cristina Ortiz's collections for the brand have received lukewarm reviews. With all that said, it was hardly a suprise that the house have decided to end her contract. This morning WWD reported that Massimiliano Giornetti, the head of menswear, will take over from Ortiz and head both the women's and menswear divisions, despite having no experience in designing for women.
According to Fashionologie, Giornetti is already working on the brand's A/W 2010/11 collection.

After Erin Wasson stopped styling for bestie Alexander Wang, the young designer got Alastair McKimm on board. However, Fashionologie report that Calvin Klein stylist Karl Templer is tipped to style Wang's spring/summer 2010 collection next season, replacing McKimm.
Wasson's keeping busy. Joe Zee tweeted that she is busy working on her second styling job at ELLE this week.

Anna Wintour definitely woke up smiling this morning. After an embarrasing loss of overall ad pages to ELLE two weeks ago, US Vogue has come back fighting. Fashionologie reports that despite the overall loss, the magazine is still leading with the most luxury ad pages.
According to a Vogue spokesperson, the magazine's share of luxury ads have increased by 5% this year compared to InStyle, who have experienced an 8% decrease, and ELLE, whose luxury pages have dropped by 5%.

Last week we broke the news that, for the first time, ELLE bagged more ad pages than Vogue. When asked about how the magazine's advertising is doing, as they begin to close the big September issue, Vogue's publisher Tom Florio tried to diffuse the situation but actually revealed how bad the situation actually is. "We'll have over 400 pages of advertising," he told the NY Post.
As Jezebel said, 400 pages is a considerable drop from the 727 ad pages they had for the 2007 September issue, and the 607 pages last year.
People are quickly beginning to question whether this is a result of the economy, or whether it shows that Anna Wintour is losing her touch.

Years worth of tension and animosity between designers and the management at the big fashion houses all seem to be coming to a head this year. The biggest example is Olivier Theyskens' dramatic departure from Nina Ricci at the beginning of the year and the brand's subsequent huge discount sale last week, getting rid of all of the Theyskens references.
Emanuel Ungaro creative director Esteban Cortazar is the latest designer to clash with bosses. According to The Cut, Cortazar clashed with management about 'how to market the label'. The last straw appeared to be management's idea of having Lindsay Lohan as the face of the brand. Fashionologie claims that Cortazar's departure was not amicable and he is set to sue the label, who are said to be willing to settle out of court.
Not good news for Lindsay Lohan, who is apparently trying to establish herself in the fashion industry.

If you thought that Lara Stone had all the love after having an entire issue of French Vogue dedicated to her, you thought wrong. It looks like Carine Roitfeld has a little more love to go around.
Recent reports claim that we can expect a whole issue photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. According to Fashionologie, we can also expect Sessilee Lopez, Jacquetta Wheeler with Shalom Harlow to be featured. Which issue this will be, is yet to be confirmed.

Lily Allen has been a front-row fixture at the Chanel shows for some time, so it was not a suprise when Karl Lagerfeld announced that the British singer will replace Jerry Hall as the Fall 2009 face of the Chanel handbag campaign. On explaining his choice Largerfeld said, "She's fun."
As Fashionologie points out, Jerry Hall got re-signed to Ford models after working with Chanel last season, so the gig will definitely serve well for the singer.
