Over the past couple of months, we have reported that the legendary designer that is Giorgio Armani has intimated that he is to ease up on his work load due to recent complications with his health. Currently in Moscow busying himself with a number of promotional events, including fashion shows and presentations for both the Emporio Armani and Giorgio Armani arms of the brand, he hinted that he has begun reassessing the structure of both the creative and management sides of the company.
He said "I am already organizing staff who will continue my work. Of course I am not eternal, there comes a time when you must hand it over." Despite this, the bronzed, white haired couturier joked with photographers and reporters about his appearance saying, "You see how I am, I don't look bad yet do I?" You certainly don't Mr Armani, keep up the good work!

The ever sultry, ever sexy Megan Fox has been announced as the new face of the equally seductive label, Armani. It seems Giorgio Armani has a very strong idea of his Armani woman, as Fox has been widely compared to Giorgio's existing muse, Angelina Jolie, who had been wrongly rumoured to be starring in the latest campaigns. With her femme fetale looks, and darkly interesting personality, it is without doubt Fox will fit in well with the label as she goes on to replace Victoria and David Beckham in the advertising for Emporio Armani Jeans and Armani Underwear in 2010.
It has been revealed that the campaign has already been shot by photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, who are well known for their portraits of strong and sophisticated women, with footballer Cristiano Ronaldo replacing David Beckham, although it is known that the pair will not star alongside one another. After seeing her smouldering performance in the recent editorial and front cover in Wonderland, we're sure the results will be steamy. Lock away those boyfriends, ladies.

His work is featured in i-D, Another Man and Numero to name a few, and he has created advertising pieces for industry giants to include Giorgio Armani, Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent. Now, renowned photographer Solve Sundsbo is turning his hand at designing, with three pieces created for creative agency and label of the moment, Surface to Air. Using three prints inspired by 'Parrot', 'Dry Cleaner' and 'Hair', Sundsbo has designed a dress, top and a dry bag, all of which are available in each print, and can be purchased on the Surface to Air website, starting at 140 euros.

Back in May, Giorgio Armani was diagnosed with hepatitis which he had contracted through poisoning. 'King Giorgio', as he is often referred to in the Italian press, said that the fashion house would continue to operate as usual, with him at the helm. In June, he unveiled his Spring 2010 collection, which received rave reviews, but has since confirmed that he will be taking a slight step back in the running of the label.
He admitted that "the illness made me understand that you can't joke with your life. For years, I ignored myself completely until I received this blow, which hapened for a reason. I realized I had to be more careful." With a business portoflio boasting difusion lines, hotels and spas worldwide, he will still be overseeing the brand as a whole, so expect more classic, elegant and show-stopping designs from the Armani camp.
I tried to avoid inflicting negative thoughts upon myself, like compiling a will. Obviously I did one long ago, and maybe it was time to revise it, but I didn’t because my days were centered on taking medicine, resting, being nursed or waiting for my sister to come by with a pudding

Brooke Shields' look in 'Pretty Baby' helped inspire a sweet collection from Giorgio Armani shown today at Milan Fashion Week. Gone (well, mostly) were the pantsuits and strong shoulders, and even the once-signature beige. In place of that, the designer sent out tiny party dresses - sometimes paired with shorts - plenty of cleavage and shimmer galore.
Visible bras signaled a return to '90s-era states of undress, but overall, the line felt...younger than normal. Still dignified, but it seemed that many of the satin and chiffon looks could have been adopted by a cute party girl with places to be.
But despite a bit of bling, and all those displays of, shall we say, the feminine mystique, Mr Armani said the whole thing was about "innocence". We definitely didn't see any naughty fashion crimes on the runway, now that he mentions it.

New York Fashion Week may be drawing to a close but the parties definitely are not. In collaboration with Giorgio Armani, Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld and Andy Valmorbida presented 'Richard Hambleton- New York' last night to the likes of Mary J. Blige, the Olsens and Lily Donaldson . The exhibition explores the works of artist, Richard Hambelton and showcases some of his otherwise unseen work.
