Part and parcel of being a model is without a doubt having your body on exposure - and being styled, photographed, judged...well, it's easy to see how a girl might get self-conscious. To try and put yourself in the high, high heels of recent model and muse Lara Stone then, is a truly difficult challenge. She is the girl who whilst working alongside the usual waif-like characters, maintained her curves and her attitude. However, it must be hard for the Dutch-born beauty to maintain her confidence as she continues to be a talking point for the fashion industry for being the big, and yet skinny, girl.
Despite modelling since the age of 13, Stone didn't have her big break until Riccardo Tisci simply had to have her for his Givenchy Couture show, and ever since then the industry has loved, and spoken wonders of her fantastic curves and bleached eyebrows. Talking to Interview, 26-year-old Stone told of how she still gets anxious on swimsuit shoots, and how the curvy comments caused her to diet.
