That's right, she's Heidi Samuel. The 'Project Runway' host was granted approval at a Los Angeles court hearing last Friday to use her husband Seal's surname. Although the couple married four years ago and have had three children together, until last week, Klum had retained her own name.
The supermodel, who surprised audiences at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show last week by taking a turn down the catwalk, has not stated yet whether she will continue to be called Heidi Klum in her professional life. Either way, we bet Karl Lagerfeld doesn't care.
Oh, Heidi Klum, you are full of surprises. Just five weeks after giving birth to your fourth child, there you are walking the runway at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show - in a decked-out dress rather than lingerie alone, granted, but come on. With even Jay-Z at the show's taping Thursday night, there was pressure. Said the Klum: "When you have a baby, you can't really know if in five weeks' time you're like everyone else over here." By over here, the VS Angel and 'Project Runway' host meant the pack of other winged top models, including show opener Alessandra Ambrosio, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Chanel Iman, Liu Wen, Anja Rubik and more. The sci-fi influence at this year's show was clear, with neon and intergalactic armour taking the spotlight. Entertainment for the evening was provided by the Black Eyed Peas, and Fergie herself strode across the stage in a revealing corset. Also at the event? Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, Michelle Trachtenberg and Keri Hilson: enough to prove to anyone that this year's fashion show was a serious spectacle.

New York's Time Square came to a stand still yesterday as the Victoria Secrets 'angels' made an appearance ahead of tonight's taping. Onlookers must have thought they had died and gone to heaven as the likes of Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Chanel Iman and Heidi Klum posed, pouted and blew kisses to by-standers. Other new angels, spotted in the VS throng included Elyse Taylor, Sessilee Lopez, Tatiana Kovylina ( a VS 2005 alumni), although it would seem that there are lots more surprises, in the form of new angels, to come (including confirmation that Anja Rubik and Abbey Lee Kershaw will also be making an appearance on the runway).
Fashionologie has reported that photos of the likes of Anna Maria Jagodzinska and Edita Vilkeviciute have been spotted on the casting board, but Emanuela de Paula will be taken off the line-up due to conflicting work schedules. Either way, it would seem that heaven will be missing many of its angels tonight as they strut down the VS runway. We are so excited it hurts!

Alessandra Ambrosio has a big job for Thursday: opening the 2009 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which will be held at New York's Lexington Avenue Armory. We can boast a special connection to London, as wing man Alexander Koutny is a Central St Martins grad.
What to expect at the show? How about a bit of sci-fi. With show sections including Magical Journey, All Aboard, Pink Planet, Enchanted Forest, Romantic Journey and Star Trooper, we expect to see fashion-week catwalk trends play out on the VS runway.
This is also the first year for Behati Prinsloo to don wings, and with a gaggle of additional models (Caroline Trentini, Isabeli Fontana, Liu Wen, Chanel Iman and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, to name a few) led by host Heidi Klum, we're sure this will be a bombshell blowout, as usual.

The Victoria's Secret catwalk line up is all change this year, with Adriana Lima's baby bump preventing her from walking, Karolina Kurkova sitting out after just having her baby, and Heidi Klum supposedly presenting the show due to her post pregnancy figure not being quite back to angel standard. There's the new angels on the block - Chanel Iman, Emanuela de Paula, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Candice Swanepoel and Lindsay Ellingson - and now joining them is the stunning Liu Wen, who will become the first Asian model to walk in the Victoria's Secret show.

The Cut confirms that Victoria's Secret model Karolina Kurkova delivered a healthy baby boy last Thursday. The baby, the first for Kurkova and her film-producer fiancé, Archie Drury, and weighed in at six pounds and three ounces and was named Tobin Jack.
If fellow Angels Alessandra Ambrosio and Heidi Klum are anything to go by, it's safe to say that Zurkova will back in shape and on the runway before you know it.

We're not sure why, but the first thing that popped into our minds when we learned that Heidi Klum is launching a "pervasive lifestyle collection" was, "What will Karl Lagerfeld say?" The Chanel designer has been quick to take swipes at her for being an overly perky unknown (according to him), and has even gone so far as to criticise her husband Seal's skin. We smell a made-for-TV movie somewhere in that bickering. But we digress.
Klum will launch her new line for fall 2010, starting with 48 styles of shoes. The model is taking inspiration from her own wardrobe (naturally), which seems to be "feminine with a bit of a fashion and rock 'n' roll edge". Next, after footwear, will come workout clothes, dresses and swimwear. By February, a maternity line will follow. And all of this sounds like perfect bait for a 'Project Runway' challenge, no? Not that Karl will be watching.
