That's definitely the question on all of our minds. Last week, it was revealed that Carine Roitfeld wasn't attending the Victoria's Secret show just to enjoy the collection. She was allegedly there to scout models for a big Vogue Paris editorial.
According to The Imagist: "[Roitfeld didn't just want] a dose of good old American spectacle. Let's just say there's a veeeery sexy Inez and Vinoodh edit abrewing for Vogue Paris. Extra points to the gossip gurl who can suss out who the cast for that booking will be. There's said to be at least 3 angels (past n present) in the mix." As Fashionologie reports, jewellery designer Rodrigo Otazu recently Tweeted: "Busy morning with French Vogue shoot [sic] today with top models Karolina Kurkova, Lily Donaldson, Adriana Lima and Izabel Goulart."
It was officially the worst kept secret that Madonna will not be returning as the face of the Dolce & Gabanna spring campaign. But the secret was officially confirmed last week when pictures emerged of Victoria's Secret models Izabel Goulart, Isabeli Fontana, Alessandra Ambrosio and Maryna Linchuk all on set for the campaign with Steven Klein.
But it's not all bad for Madonna. The singer moved to Dolce & Gabanna after having a successful stint as the face of Louis Vuitton so it's safe to assume that she'll be working with another big brand soon.
We've just wrapped up Paris Fashion Week, and already, the rumours of next season's campaigns are starting. According to Fashionologie, Gisele could be the star of the Spring '11 Balenciaga campaign - which would make sense, considering that she walked in the show. Will other supers from the show, like Stella Tennant or Carolyn Murphy, join her? It can't be confirmed just yet.
Fashionologie also reports that Alessandra Ambrosio is racking up Dolce & Gabbana ad rumours, now that she and Stefano Gabbana have been tweeting feverishly. (Ambrosio has remained coy about it all during interviews.) In addition, Givenchy-runway-exclusive Izabel Goulart is thought to be lined up for the label's spring campaign, starring with Riccardo Tisci favourite Mariacarla Boscono.
As was rumoured before the Paris shows began, Giles Deacon had a lineup full of Victoria's Secret beauties, as well as an astounding amount of top models gracing his catwalk for the AW10 show. Opening the show with a perfectly coiffed beehive was Karolina Kurkova, whilst Alessandro Ambrosio closed the show, and the likes of Coco Rocha, Jessica Stam, Carmen Kass and Angela Lindvall walked in between.
Other Victoria's Secret Angels walking for Giles this Fall included Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Izabel Goulart and Ana Beatriz Barros, and whilst it was the super line-up of supermodels that caught most of the attention, amongst the perfectly toned (and endlessly long) pins of the models, Deacon sent a furry bag with eyes. If it wasn't the glamorous '60s-inspired clothes helping Deacon settle in amongst the tough competition away from home in Paris, the British designer's stellar line up of top models sure is.
