James Brown's Business In Serious Financial Problems, Kate Moss Refuses To Help

Image courtesy of The Daily Mail

Last year Kate Moss lent a helping hand to childhood best friend and celebrity hair stylist James Brown when he launched his first salon. Moss also made a cameo role in a documentary following the launch of the salon - which ended up turning into a starring role which the model was reported to be unamused amount - to help bring in press. However, things have taken a turn for the worse.

Despite a reported £3million cash injection from Davinia Taylor's mother, Lynne Murphy, Brown's hair product range has gone into administration and his two other ranges are said to be in serious financial difficulties. According to Company House, Brown currently owes investors £3,602,824 and if recent rumours are anything to go by, Moss is not prepared to bail him out anytime soon. A source told The Daily Mail that, ‘James’s business is really struggling. He asked Kate if she would put some money in but she feels she has done enough already.' However, Brown was quick to release a statement quashing the rumours saying that 'Kate has been very supportive throughout and more than generous. The administration has nothing whatsoever to do with her and is to do with other unrelated factors.’

More Details About Kate Moss' Documentary Gig

Kate Moss was all smiles at the Topshop Unique show at London Fashion Week, and maybe part of it is because of her upcoming TV appearance on E4. OK, we know it's a stretch, but go with it.

Moss, as we previously reported, is set to make an appearance on 'James' Salon', a documentary about the opening of her friend James Brown's first hair salon. "People will see how funny and warm and caring she is," Brown told WWD. "People will see the real her."

The one-hour documentary is set to air on Oct. 13 in the UK.

Kate Moss Featuring On Reality TV Show

When you're Kate Moss, you can pretty much do anything you want. Accordingly, it should come as no surprise that the supermodel now has a role on a new reality TV show. Documentary crews have been following A-list hairdresser James Brown, who happens to style Moss, for months. The point of the show? To show what it's been like to open Brown's (very) high-end salon in London.

"You should do accessories and build yourself up," Moss says in a scene shot at the salon's opening-night party. "Sorry, Mum," Brown says back. You can bet we'll be watching E4 for more.
